"Stayed one night while in town for a show as a solo traveler. The hotel is clean, the beds comfortable. I enjoyed the outdoor pool and it’s always a bonus to have the kickback happy hour and dinner included!"

"Everything was great other than we couldn't use the entry door closest to our room(Rat of hotel on North end as we were instructed to because the key card lock for the door didn't work. Also the entire area around the back entry we were trying to use had a very strong odor of human urine. But all together the room was clean and the breakfast was good with a large selection of foods to choose from. Pool was clean and warm with plenty of towels. Would stay here again"

"The room was clean, and staff were very accommodating about requests. The breakfast was also good for the entire weekend that I stayed, and different each day. The wi-fi was also a nice bonus, but with the caveat that my particular room had iffy signal, but that's a minor blemish in an otherwise very good stay."
Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Amway Grand Plaza overall. The location is fantastic, and having so many excellent restaurants and bars right inside the hotel is a huge plus. We had dinner at Wolfgang Puck and MDRD during our stay, and both were absolutely amazing. MDRD in particular made for a memorable evening and was one of the highlights of our weekend. Where the hotel fell short was the condition of the guest room and portions of the property beyond the beautiful main lobby. For a hotel of this caliber and price point, the rooms definitely feel dated and in need of some attention. We had drawers that would not stay closed, areas of wallpaper that were peeling, and some finishes that simply looked tired. Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the exterior windows in the tower. We specifically paid for a room with a river view, but the windows were extremely dirty, which really took away from something we paid extra to enjoy. There is a lot to love about the Amway Grand—the location, atmosphere, restaurants, bars, and overall convenience are excellent. We would stay again, but the guest rooms and tower windows need some attention to bring the accommodations up to the same standard as the hotel’s impressive public spaces and dining experiences."

"Spark by Hilton Grand Rapids – Great Stay with a Minor Catch We recently stayed at the Spark by Hilton in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The hotel is bright, modern, and exceptionally clean. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was comfortably furnished, with comfortable bedding and reliable Wi-Fi, making it a great value and a reliable base for exploring Grand Rapids. A Quick Heads-Up on Ice: The only minor inconvenience during our stay was the ice situation. There were no ice buckets in the guest rooms, and all of the ice machines on the upper floors were out of order. We had to head down to the ground floor every time we needed ice. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but having an ice bucket in the room or working machines on every floor would make the stay even smoother. Overall, it's a solid, high-value hotel with excellent service, and we would happily stay here again!"
