I love their commitment to being eco-conscious, with delicious ingredients from their own garden in their restaurant meals. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. It was easy to communicate via What's App. When we had a few ants in our room, the staff were quick to clean. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The tranquility, the staff, the character of the property and the cleanliness were top notch. The organic food and quality of meals was superb, along with the range of options available… all set amongst the beautiful gardens. The only improvement I could suggest is having a toilet seat that fits properly over the toilet bowl as this was not so nice. Otherwise would highly recommend this place to stay. The ambience was wonderful.

Lovely gardenstyle cottages

Swasti is a lovely place with most excellent plantbased food. I am not usually a vegetarian but in this case it didn't bother me at all. Nice and clean and charming cottages. Would have been nice with a chair and a table inside, but thats details. Families with smaller children should probably know that since the place doubles as a yoga retreat some guests may expect a bit less splashing and yelling at the pool than in other places.

Close to Perfection! Great people, delicious and sustainable food choices, super environmental initiatives, and a nice location. The only thing holding the property back from perfection is the noise level. I had other (noisy) guests staying above me in my cottage and there were also young children staying while I was there. I just couldn’t completely ‘shut it down’ as a result. This property could be the ideal ‘ Bali eco retreat’ if they could find a way to deal with the noise level. Doing so would greatly complement the wonderful qualities mentioned above and their massage and yoga offerings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swasti. We celebrated our 25th and they had a lovely letter and gift for us. The service and friendliness of the staff was amazing. We felt at home. There were guests from all over the world. We look forward to recommending our family and friends to this wonderful getaway in Bali.

Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful lush gardens! Excellent healthy food! Gorgeous pool! Delightful sheep! Fantastic staff! Loved it all! And on a nice street with other dining options that were easily accessible and not too crowded.

The experience has been great before I even got into the cottages. I got my car booked to puck me up from the airport. I came late at night and had warm herbal tea and the most beautiful salad and green smoothie wait for me which I had preordered. The room was super clean and spacious and had the very local feel. Local vegan food is divine.

Drawbacks of the hotel

Overall the place is great however two drawbacks: 1. Be aware that cats on the territory of the hotel are wild and not friendly. I got bitten by the alpha male white cat who was freely walking around our garden and room. That cost me vaccinations for over USD300. Cats are not castrated and a vaccine certificate was never presented to me. It quite ruined my trip. 2. Lost and found section doesn't work. The headphones, t-shirts, and keys that we left in the room were never found. We are certain that all three items were left there as earpods are still present around the hotel when tracking.

Surprise - Surprise! We lost your Booking sorry!

We booked this hotel through holes.com, we sent an email to hotel to ask a specific breakfast for our daughter. No answer ! We arrived the evening, we waited 1 hour, but ...surprise surprise.., our booking was not there. So no room! After one hour the hotel found us a first room in an hotel nearby Pest and rats included (at arrival the new hotel wanted to be paid, we refused). We called hotels.com they tried to call the hotel no one at lobby..., the second day no clear explication (the first hotel cost too much!), we still waited and we were moved to another hotel (no pest this time, but lower category). The Swasati hotel refused to let us visit any of his room or didn't propos any upgrade or any opportunity to stay even paying a difference in their location, The hotel allowed to get breakfast in their hotel, (our daughter needed a GF breakfast one of the reason for what e choose the hotel), then they offered a 1 hour massage for 3 persons to excuse, then they changed of advice and they said half an hour, then they said we will offer a dinner, then they changed of advice and cake and coke were not included anymore... A pity..hotels seems nice but what we can say. ..... not so well organized...we feel to be taken for stupid Careful ask to get confirmation! For hotels.com, if you are in trouble and you want to try to call someone then good luck to find the number because they do not work during evening time..so you need to do international call. So cost increase without a room.

Hôtel paisible et beau

Super séjour dans un endroit au calme de la foule d’Ubud. La chambre est typiquement balinaise avec beaucoup de charme. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux et les massages sensationnels !

Paradis på alle måder

Det var på alle måder helt fantastisk. Personalet var virkelig venlige og serviceminded og fik mig til at føle mig hjemme med det samme. Maden var fantastisk - fik morgenmad og søndags buffet. Jeg var meget begejstret for, at de selv dyrkede dele af de afgrøder der blev brugt på stedet. Haven var på alle måder pæn og velholdt og det var hyggeligt med fårene. Der er så meget charme og velvære det sted, at jeg bare havde lyst til at blive, for jeg kom helt ned i tempo og følte mig så godt tilpas. Det eneste lidt negative jeg kan finde er, at dørene, bøde fordør og til terrassen er løse i hængslerne og sammen med løse låse, kommer de ikke til at holde uvedkommende ude. Næste gang jeg skal til Ubud skal jeg bo her igen.

Bad, not sure how they can have a 9.2 rating. Place is dirty, not well maintained. Bad service overall. Cats walking around in the breakfast area on counter tops and silverware that is intended for clients and no one doing anything about it.

Look for other options in UBUD.

Overall bad experience. Found the place to be poorly maintained and dirty. Not good service at front desk or in the cafe ( breakfast). The floor in our room was inclined which meant sleeping on an inclined bed (almost 10cm from one side to the other. Cats walking around the breakfast area on counter tops and on silverware. Don’t be fooled about the high guest rating. Much better options in the city for the same price range. If we hadn’t prepaid the rooms, we would have left immediately.
