Trinidad Vacation Packages

Very disappointed with our experience overall. The hotel looked super cute and quaint in photos, but in reality was very dated and not as well kept up as it could be. Not much nearby and restaurant menu was limited. I’m sure it is mentioned somewhere, but I was surprised to find when we got to our room there was no AC, only a fan. There was also apparently some trouble with our booking. Even though we had already pre-paid with Expedia the hotel told us they could not access our payment and would have to charge us again. Fortunately Expedia was very helpful and refunded our original payment. In my opinion it should have been the hotel that took on the inconvenience of contacting Expedia and the financial risk rather than double charging a client and leaving them to sort it out.

This hotel is like a museum- it is so well kept and maintained. We were upgraded to the turret room. My main issue is that it's hard to relax and get a bit messy like you would normally do in a hotel. Beverages and food encouraged downstairs in the kitchen. Don't care for windows that don't open. Would appreciate longer time there 4p-10a was too little. Still, the history was fascinating!

From the outside this property looked awful, run down with peeling paint, trash everywhere, the bin overflowing, junked cars parked, some appearing not to be drivable. It was not at all a place I would choose. The pictures on the website presented a very different picture. Fortunately the office staff told us they were full and our reservation had been transferred to the Super 8 in Fortuna which was very nice and we appreciated being there.
