This hotel is good for the location-even if you don't gamble- it is near both highways to get into Peoria or Washington/Metamora/Eureka areas. It is a little tired though and could use some deep cleaning in the rooms. You can tell there are a few upgrades like shower walls, doors and fixtures, but then there is peeling paint and broken tiles. Overall the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a great steakhouse and bar on the campus area and inside the hotel is a bar open on the weekends which is nice. Plenty of parking even with an event at the hotel. I do like that you have to have your key to gain access to elevator and rooms. I would stay here again if price was right.

Upon arrival as my wife and I entered the door we were greeted and welcomed by the staff replacing a baggage cart. We approach the desk asked if we could look at a room w/a kiing bed, and without hesitation we were given a tour of the room and the animinies, kitchen, computer area, gym etc. Very comfortable night and waking up and going down for breakfast the arrangements and food selection was outstanding, in all are stay was great and I would highly recommend .

Arrived at the hotel about 3pm. It seemed odd that there 3 ServePro trucks and many ServPro employees coming out of the Hotel. We checked in around 3pm. Waited in line for several minutes. Clerk seemed kind of new since it took some time to find my reservation and issue the Key. My room was #433. I got to the room and when opening the door saw that someone had stripped the bed and thrown everything onto a chair in the corner. We were attempting to call the front desk to ask for housekeeping when the door opened by another couple that told us they were just given the same room. We shared notes and then went back to the from lobby to straighten out the mix up. The clerk worked to correct the problem however, this took her awhile and she had to consult with some other staff. I was issued room #627. We took the elevator to 6th floor and upon entering the hallway saw the reason ServPro were in the building. In front of #627 were 7 air moving devices being used to dry the carpets. The 7 of these machines let out a roaring noise. Upon closing the door, the sound level dropped by about half. We went out and returned about 9pm. Machines still on and noisy as before. I woke up because of honking and loud car noises very clearly heard on the streets below. The hotels nearby parking ramp was very poor at best. The person with me said it looks scary like it might fall down. Overall maybe one of the worst experiences in a hotel in quite a while.
