"We stayed here for a single night while driving the Cabot Trail. Overall, it was a very comfortable, solid stay, though we wish we had a bit more time to fully experience the property.
The one-bedroom unit with the pull-out sofa was very spacious and gave our group plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped. The location is incredibly convenient, with a lot of different restaurants in the surrounding area. While there is a restaurant right on the property, we chose to head out and try a few of the local spots nearby instead.
The highlight for us was definitely the beach access. The resort has plenty of places to sit right by the water, which made for a beautiful, peaceful spot to watch the sun come up in the morning.
It’s a nice, dependable place to crash during a busy road trip. If we pass through the area again, we'd consider staying for a couple of days next time to actually unwind and get our money's worth from the beach layout."
"The pod is like a large wooden tent that contains a double bed and space for a couple of chairs. The atmosphere is similar to a camping with but with a comfortable bed. When I was there the camping area was not crowded so I had no issues with toilets/showers. I did not use the kitchen but it looked well furnished."
"My family and I loved this place
The owner is clearly maintaining and upgrading the unit. Nice full height acrylic shower, new looking electrical, everything very clean. The cottages are far enough apart from each other we had no noise issues. There's a nice pool. Nice electric fireplace. Windows look good. There's some effort being put into this place.
The only minor issue was the heatpump made a bit of a noise inside the unit. The fan inside may need a bit of attention but it was manageable/comparable to many hotel type ac units that make varying amounts of noise."
"The description doesn’t state that you only gets a place to sleep and that bathrooms and kitchen are in another building. Basically a glorified tent. Bathrooms are clean and have showers. Kitchen is shared by all campers and decent. We didn’t cook but used the fridge to keep things cool. A keurig would be a great option with a shared kitchen rather than a pot."
"Super cute, and in a nice area. Not a lot around for food or coffee though. The pods have an outlet and a fan / heater and light inside! The washrooms were very clean as well!"
Cape Breton Cottage, Off the Beaten Path... Spectacular Ocean and Mt. Views!
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at the cottage July 4 to 11th and we wished it was longer. The amazing ocean and mountain views were spectacular. The peace and quiet was magical. It exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay again."
"Such a tranquil & restful spot.
Currently a work in progress.
The access roads about the property need attention. The new geo-domes (permanent materials including glass) are amazing, they even include AC & constant hot water!
The water sports equipment was in good working order & very much appreciated.
A larger office welcoming guests which offered common camping foods & consumables etc would be very welcome & perhaps a nice little income stream - it wouldn't need to be open all day?
With time & further work this place is gonna be a solid 5 stars!"
"This property was so accurately described. The view of the ocean was stunning when eating breakfast, and sitting out on the deck with a glass of wine after our daily adventures was relaxing. The apartment itself was well appointed, modern, clean and very comfortable. Hope we can come back someday."
