They stretch a few hundred feet wide! Slowly cascading down a side of a rock faced wall. It is a short but tenuous hike to see the falls. But, they are some of the best you can see in the south east. Maybe not the tallest or most water flowing, but it is a beautiful, slow, and pooling fall. As an added bonus the river it flows into is controlled by a dam, so you can at times get up to the waterfall, and at other times raft the river which I'm guessing is a class 3-4. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good for us while traveling. Didn't see much of the property but what we saw looked nice. It was more or less off season in the area so it was hit or miss for restaurants. Oh, the coffee provided in the room was EXCELLENT…really didn't expect that. Temps dropped and it was cold but they had turned on the heater for us before we arrived. That was thoughtful. Then they had totes of clean linens right outside rooms for them to change later I’m guessing that we almost tripped over carrying our luggage.
