"We were very disappointed with our stay here. The reviews that we saw of this property did not reflect the experience that we had so I would like to give a honest review of what to expect here for anyone looking in the future. First the host Toni was very helpful and kind when she met us to check in. She gave us local recommendations and information that helped us. First thing to know about this house is it right next to the main road going into Tamarindo and you will hear every car and motorcycle that drives past during the night, we unfortunately were there during a very busy time but our entire group wasn’t able to sleep because of the noise all night. You will need ear plugs. Second the cleanliness of the home was disappointing, we took many pictures of the piles of dead bugs, mold, dirty toilets. It felt uncomfortable and not maintained. Bugs everywhere, we understand that we are next to the water and that could be any issue but of the many places we have stayed in Costa Rica this place was the worst by far. I know it is common but the sewer system is delicate and flushing of toilet paper was not allowed. Something I think should be advertised. On the positive side, the location in reference to the beach is nice, about a 5 min walk to the main beach. The estuary that it over looks has Crocodiles and is not a safe place to swim. The outdoor area is very nice, has a very nice pool to lounge and fire pit to sit around. Definitely where you will spend most of your time. "

"The unit was extremely well taken care of and the location of this property is perfect. It is right around the corner from the main beach, so it’s a quick walk to get to everything Tamarindo has to offer, but also very private if that’s what you want. It was nice to have privacy when you wanted it. The manager was in contact with me within 10 minutes of finalizing our booking and was very helpful and timely answering questions and helping with travel and excursion recommendations for the duration of our stay. There are two houses on the property and only ours was booked during our stay, so the privacy would obviously go down a little if the other house was also booked. The pool was great! The hammocks were fantastic! The only thing that would be better would be if there were beach chairs or umbrellas that you could take to the main beach, but you can also just rent them so it wasn’t a big deal to not have them. Overall a 10 out of 10!"

"Love the place, the pool was lovely and mostly quiet plenty of sitting available. The room was clean and well stocked with a full fridge, dishes everything you’d need. They don’t supply paper towels or dish soap so would want to get that before heading to the area. There is a tiny store but it’s not very equipped. Also you’re in jungle wooden area lot of bugs ants mostly take bug killer. Staff excellent and helpful. You are not on the beach but you have private access to it just across the way. There are 3 restaurants close by prices are American prices, not cheap. Buy snacks and food before heading to the area it will save you a ton of money. The hotel itself has no food or drinks. Within a mile or less down the beach you can cross by boat $2pp to Tamorino very active a lot shopping, restaurants and nightlife if that’s what you like. The hotel can set you up for tours and they will pick you up at the hotel. Bottom line this is a nice calm hotel but everything you want extra is close enough to get to. If you rent a car they have parking right out front it’s a safe this area is very clean and protected. Again, I would shop at a store before heading out to this hotel because it doesn’t have much of a selection. All the restaurants were good and the fresh fish was amazing. Have a fantastic vacation. Monkeys everywhere in the trees keep your eyes open. Turtles are fairly close down the beach also ask the front desk they will help you. "

"Location fantastic! But the small grassy area for guests had three lounge chairs two completely broken and side table broken. No drinking/water glasses in room and no coffee maker. Bathroom door didn’t quite close and not all outlets work. Hardly saw any staff they provided no information. Door locks are just a push lock no dead bolt or chain. Best feature is quiet ocean beach is right there. "

"We had such an amazing stay at this beautiful piece of paradise oasis. The suite was immaculate, very roomy, clean, truly very comfortable with all the amenities you need for a long stay (as we stayed a week). Loved our private outdoor shower and the beautiful colorful decor (as our hosts are artists). We also enjoyed hanging out by the pool and common kitchen/dining area especially after a long day out on the beach and touring towns/beaches and various activities/excursions. While the place is just outside of main beach/action of Tamarindo (which can also be a good thing) - we did walk to town a few times (about 20min walk - about a mile or so), but only a few min drive by car or Uber. There is a coffee shop next door and some local grocery stores nearby. We did go to the nearby outdoor local Rural cafe a few times which was quite charming.The hosts, Sergio and Miriella have an amazing place that they take great pride in and always made sure you were well taken care of and enjoying your stay at their beautiful paradise. We really enjoyed our stay! Pura Vida!"
