Don’t be put off by the elevator being away from the hotel reception. Great sized room, very very clean. The best location for everything, Ximending shopping area, sight seeing, Ximen MRT literally at you front door. 7 Eleven next door, breakfast cafes out the front and laundry facility. Very comfortable stay, would recommend and would definitely stay again if we come back to Taipei. It's in a building which is shared between other business properties. The whole time I stayed, one of the elevators wasn't working. The floor I stayed at, the waiting area for the elevator was so dirty. Walls in between rooms are thin so you can hear you neighboors. The laundry room is on another area of the building, in between other stalls and markets, and shops. They don't have a proper common washroom for the lobby. They share it with the other shops, and stalls within that same building. And it was dirty. Took a while to figure out where it is. Reception area looks promising but the hotel is actually pretty old and run down where we have to go through a back alley to the rooms. Room is spacious but as it's a very old unit, the carpet is very dusty with a damp smell. The location of the hotel is very strategic (opposite Ximen Ding) and the price is reasonable. The room was flea infested resulting in many itchy bites. Soundproofing was terrible, could clearly hear neighbours taking a shower.
