"This property made our trip wonderful!! The location is next to a beautiful beach and is a great area for snorkeling near turtles. We could be in the ocean as quickly as we could walk to our car. The property had all the appliances, cookware, dishes, and cutlery that we needed to easily prepare meals during our stay. I highly recommend opening the lanai doors while cooking or relaxing to hear the ocean waves while staying here. The beds were very comfortable and we all are considering purchasing these same mattresses for our home. The hosts quickly answered any questions we had and proved incredibly thoughtful. We loved our stay and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable escape to paradise!"

"Well it was my kids first trip to Hawaii and this place and the host - Beth- made it AMAZING. Check in was easy and welcoming. The place was perfect, family friendly and kitchen was stocked with everything I needed, even a rice cooker- score! The fabulous place was spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous view. My kids loved it and didn’t want to leave. We saw 13 turtles at the beach, magical. Honestly we will only stay here when we come back to Maui. Thank you Beth for being a spectacular host and having your place be so perfect! "

"Wonderful property, quiet location but still convenient to local activities, restaurants, etc. The snorkeling right off the property was *fabulous* with many turtles (keep your distance) and plenty of reef wildlife. It’s best to get out early in the day when the water is most calm and before the big snorkel tour boats start pulling up nearby. The great snorkeling here isn’t a secret unfortunately!Mahalo, Sue and Clark!"

"This property is one of the best VRBOs we have experienced. The location is perfect if you're looking for a private, quiet setting only steps from the beach. Located on Po'olenalena Beach, it's as if only the residents of Makena Surf use this section of the beach despite being public. It's like having your own private beach on Maui. Even better, many of the snorkeling tour operators pull their boats right up to the lava rocks along the south shore of the beach, so you can snorkel right off the beach and see tons of sea turtles without having to pay extra for a tour. The lanai with the sliding doors that open from the living room makes the unit so enjoyable. With a gas grill on the patio, we enjoyed nearly every meal sitting on the lanai overlooking the beach. The owners of this unit have everything covered. Really, everything and every little detail. Every tool and utensil you'll need in the kitchen, to everything you'll need for a day at the beach.The owners were very responsive and helpful. They answered every question quickly and ensured our stay was comfortable. We will definitely rebook again for future stays. "

"This was a fantastic property that was quiet and not crowded. The beach was beautiful and never crowded. Very nice and secluded. The “touristy” area is just a 5 min drive away (you do need a car to get to any restaurants or shops). "
