The 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in the B building and sits only steps from an extraordinary sandy beach offering the famous 'five island view' along with the accompanying year-round sunsets. A refreshing pool and hot tub are located right out the front door of this unit and tennis courts and a beautiful herb garden are only a few steps beyond the pool. Each bedroom has a dedicated tiled bathroom. Our kitchen is well stocked with all new kitchenware and grills are located at the pool or on the lanai where you can cook outdoors and relax with a cool tropical drink while watching the beautiful sunsets or socializing around the pool. Located at the water's edge on the southwest coast, Makena Surf is one of Maui's most luxurious, beachfront, condominium resorts. Its idyllic island setting comes with secure gated access, a 15 acre tropical garden setting located steps away from the beach, 2 pools, and 4 tennis courts. Watch whales play in the pacific from your large lanai, snorkel with the turtles, or just relax with friends and family. The views, sounds of the waves, and proximity to great snorkeling would alone have made this property fantastic. The condo and its amenities are the cherry on top. We enjoyed the pools and beautiful grounds, and appreciated the comfortable and well-appointed condo (with comfy beds, all the kitchen tools, and every piece of beach equipment you might need). Just finished nearly two weeks at the property and it is absolutely spectacular. Location right on the beach, close proximity to restaurants and golf. My kids snorkeled right at the beach and two beautiful pools are located on the property. The condo was beautiful and recently renovated. Full kitchen and outdoor grill worked well. Sunset views from the balcony are not to be missed. Communication was great with owners Mark and Cory. Nothing I would change about this property and highly recommend. And this has to be one of the top units - on the top floor directly facing the ocean off the deck with a pretty private pool out the front door. Absolutely perfect for two couples. Both bedrooms were large and very accommodating. Entire place felt brand new. We love snorkeling right off the beach, and this location certainly has that. The condos are pretty private, gated, and the beach pretty secluded. It was spotless, had a fully stocked kitchen and the view was amazing! We enjoyed it so much, it was hard to leave. Not only was the view fabulous, the snorkeling right from the beach in front of the condo was our favorite snorkeling spot. So many fish and tons of turtles! An easy beach entry. We are experienced snorkelers and have snorkeled on many islands/places. This was the best! The condo complex was beautiful and very quiet (we were there in September). We enjoyed the pool for relaxing late afternoon swims. The location was perfect for us on the island. Many restaurants and things to do in the area. Our meeting place for our snorkel trip to Molokini Crater was right down the road. There were also many other snorkel spots nearby. We love south Maui. Bonus was our hosts Mark and his wife. They are top notch! Mark was very helpful with many things and communication was easy and replies were in a timely manner. He even went above and beyond when we left a few things at the condo! We go to a lot of VRBO's and this was one of our best experiences (condo and host). I would not hesitate in the least to rent this condo again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ##### Joanne R. The most impressive experience with VRBO ever! The view from B303 could not be beat!! The condo was impeccable. The host was beyond amazing. He interacted with me long before our stay, during our stay and after our stay. We were celebrating my 80th birthday. A beautiful large floral arrangement from the Joseph's was on the kitchen counter. We also received a bottle of wine and a generous gift basket. I received a number of birthday cards from the staff and the host. I was treated like I really was important to them. I rented 3 different condos and none of the other hosts even came close to the Joseph's. In fact, the hosts of the other two condos were not very communicative. I had to contact (Coldwell Banker) for check-in instructions. The air conditioner in F201 was not sufficient to cool the condo in the afternoon because of the sun. Mark, the host, was outstanding. He was easy to communicate with, timely, and answered all of our questions. He's definitely first rate!As for the property, it looks exactly like the pictures. Very clean, up to date, and very comfortable. The location can't be any better. The unit is literally right on the beach on one side and next to a crystal clear pool of the other side. Fabulous condo with breathtaking views. Mark is a wonderful host, super responsive and so accommodating. The condo has everything you need to completely relax and enjoy your vacation. The location is perfect if you're looking for a private, quiet setting only steps from the beach. Located on Po'olenalena Beach, it's as if only the residents of Makena Surf use this section of the beach despite being public. It's like having your own private beach on Maui. Even better, many of the snorkeling tour operators pull their boats right up to the lava rocks along the south shore of the beach, so you can snorkel right off the beach and see tons of sea turtles without having to pay extra for a tour. The lanai with the sliding doors that open from the living room makes the unit so enjoyable. With a gas grill on the patio, we enjoyed nearly every meal sitting on the lanai overlooking the beach. The owners of this unit have everything covered. Really, everything and every little detail. Every tool and utensil you'll need in the kitchen, to everything you'll need for a day at the beach.The owners were very responsive and helpful. They answered every question quickly and ensured our stay was comfortable. The view was incredible and the condo grounds were immaculate. Everything you need to enjoy your stay on Maui was provided, including a cooler and beach towels. It is steps from a very soft sandy beach. The location is very quiet away from the crowds. The kitchen is very well furnished with all the kitchen utensils you need. Our boys loved playing on the beach and riding the waves all day with the provided boogie boards. The view is unmatched and the large doors opening up to the lanai was perfect for listening to the waves. The beach was never crowded and the waves were great for letting our kids play. We absolutely loved this property and will definitely be back! We watched the beautiful Maui sunset every night from the quiet and peaceful lanai. Everything was perfect and exactly as advertised! The sunsets were out of this world and the patio was a perfect place to enjoy them! So much so, that we rarely left for dinner! Our kids really enjoyed the beach - the snorkeling was amazing and the surf was perfect for boogie boarding. So rare to find both on the same beach! The condo had everything we expected, and more! My family and I had an excellent time at Makena Surf! The location is unbeatable: with the best view!! (think: perfect morning coffees on the lanai, beautiful sunsets every night, hearing the ocean waves from our beds); easy access to the great beach (which was not crowded, has perfect waves for kids to play/boogie board and great snorkeling); and close to stores/shopping if desired. The unit is exactly as presented, and it the best stocked kitchen we have ever had, which was a real treat! We actually cancelled our one dinner reservation because you couldn't beat watching the sunset on our own lanai! The complex also has two great big pools that my kids really enjoyed swimming in. The owner and property manager were both fantastic. This is our new favourite spot on Maui, and I hope to be back soon. Highly recommend! ##### Cristin M.
