« Only positive points to mention: +: The monk took care of us and was very friendly and made us laugh so many times just for 1 day, he was such a great companion. I also learnt a lot from him about Buddhism. +: the location was so relaxing. It's a perfect place to find peace and enjoy the calm of the nature and its temple. « 立地は駅の目の前で申し分無いのだが、当ホテルが入居するビルが相当古く、自身が学生時代からあるから恐らく築50年以上経っている筈で、相当ボロい。 ビルの地下テナントは廃墟と化しており階段から先が暗闇で怖さがある。 １階のテナントも半分は空き家で人気が無い。 それを覚悟すればこの価格は納得するしか無い。 »

« One of the best hostels have stayed at. Very clean, modern, beautiful kitchen. Great staff. However, there are challenges if you do not have a car. The distance to the train station going into the city is really quite a walk. Taxis are not always available. So I advise you MUST make arrangements for staff to pick you up at the train station and you must make arrangements at least one day in advance. They need to arrange to have an extra person on staff in order to be able to pick you up. There...

« L'hôtel OYA de Takasaki est un hôtel très modeste, à l'ancienne je dirais. Chambre et salle de bain sommaires, accueil peu chaleureux, petit déjeuner jusqu'à 8h30 y compris le dimanche.... je ne l'ai pas pris. Situation un peu excentrée. Mais le gros problème c'est le prix : j'ai payé 71 euros pour la nuit, ce qui est purement scandaleux compte tenu de l'établissement, ça ne vaut même pas la moitié. A rayer de vos listes. »

"The staff were able to help me find an international ATM nearby and were happy to do so.The hotel is literally next to the station. Also, the area is really nice walk around with great parks and easy to access medicines and konbini. There is a bus stop next to the station with a bus that can take you directly to Shirakawa-go :)"
