"The owners could not have been more helpful
The propery was spotless and free parking on site was a great bonus
The location was very good within easy walking distance to all local amenities
The steps could be a problem if your mobility is limited, but this was pointed out when booking
All on all a great place to stay"

"Beautiful property in a beautiful place - Pam was lovely and made a real effort with our family and even helped get our belongings back to us after we'd left them! Really appreciated and would go back happily."

"Great location - walking distance to town centre for shops and restaurants and cafes - short drive to beach. Had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant - very good
Accommodation was very comfortable and hosts very friendly.
Breakfast was put out for us to help ourselves in the pottery shop each morning and was a good start to the day with fresh fruit and croissants.
Reliable WiFi we were able to watch Wimbledon with no problems.
All in all a delightful stay and would definitely stay again."

"Clean room, comfortable beds, fans provided for hot room. Issue with hand set not working for TV, dealt with promptly.
Had problems at breakfast. Poor breakfast offering, food in deep bowls on a hot plate and when explained food was cold was told to stir the bowl and take the food from the bottom, but by that time, I had put up with the cold food. Coffee machine not working properly. and when dealt with, the amount of coffee in the latte was more like warm milk with very little coffee.
This is a nice hotel and was happy with the room, but would not take breakfast in the future for which they were charging £16.95 each person as this was poor value for a cold breakfast."
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at this property for two nights prior to embarking on a cruise ship outboundfrom Portsmouth Harbor. The hotel is a short walk from the Portsmouth train terminal. It is located in the Gunwharf Quay development which is a huge shopping mall and entertainment venue with many restaurants. It is an easy walk to the Museum of the Royal Navy and a bit longer walk into the core of old Portsmouth. The hotel was pleasant but beginning to show wear. The breakfast was good with many offerings and sufficed to start our days."
"The shower wasn’t working no pressure because it is a very old building they said so they couldn’t help or give us another room. Very dusty lots of cobwebs. However staff was so lovely beds were so comfortable and excellent location :))"
"We’ve had a fantastic break at The Steamer Inn, been coming to the IOW for 60 years on and off with Parents, children and grandchildren, staying all over the Island, this time it was just myself and Hubby and I could not have booked a more relaxing spot for two adults, the sound of the waves was perfect for getting to sleep and also to wake up to, the balcony looked out over the beach, fabulous food, breakfast was something else, and entertainment, staff were so friendly and helpful, I would say it’s also right in the middle of things if you bring children too!"
"Overlooking the sea. Our room was clean and tidy. Fresh. The bar was great. The whole place was amazing value. The most amazing thing was the staff. Harry and his mate on reception, the lady at the bar , the chap doing breakfast and the lovely young woman at reception. Couldn’t have been more helpful. They let me put my bike in storage. All great"
"Clean & tidy room. Plenty of parking. Friendly & helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Didn’t actually use any of the facilities so can’t comment. Nice location with beautiful views"
"Great stay for the day we spent. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was decent, breakfast was ok. Only negative was that the bed was very hard and caused me body pains the next day"
