The chef is from Mumbai, worked at a 5🌟hotel in Dubai, as well as India. For the record my boyfriend hates curry and has never eaten Indian food but loved this place. The Naan is just the best thing ever. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. While there we ordered dinner through the Fyah Beach Bar, pizza at Don Tonito's and breakfast in their Casa de Maiz restaurant. All were very delicious food. We also booked two of our excursions through them with great communication from them. The only thing we would recommend for them to make improvements on would be to provide dish cloths, towels and pot holders in the kitchen. We will absolutely book our next Belize vacation at the Umaya Beach Resort!" The kitchen seemed well-equipped although we mostly ate out (or enjoyed snacks and leftovers). Really loved our time in Belize. Dinners at Maya Beach Bistro were amazing as was our special Valentines dinner at Sterling’s. We loved afternoons at Barefoot Beach Bar and I would be remiss without mentioning The Flying Pig that we thankfully discovered in time to enjoy the Super Bowl. We feel like the stars aligned when we happened to find this place available for a perfect week (for us) in February. If it shows up as available for you, jump on the chance to make Casa de la Vista your home in Belize.
