Welcome to Savannah Sunset, an oceanfront estate with pool on Little Bay. Enter into our great room, which is bursting with spectacular views of the Caribbean from every pane of the floor-to-ceiling windows. The extra-large great room includes an open kitchen, dining, and living area, all generously proportioned and filled with every amenity you could possibly need. Prepare your catch of the day in our state of the art kitchen, equipped with five-burner gas range, two wall ovens, French-door refrigerator, 5-gallon water cooler, blender and loads of prep and storage space. Savannah Sunset's floor plan is perfect for large family gatherings. Enjoy many meals with the family at the large dining are with ocean view (the dining room table seats 8, with additional seating in the adjacent screen room if needed). Beside the dining area is the living area, with sofa and chair seating for six. Spend hours relaxing, reading, and enjoying the spectacular views from this lovely space with its wall of windows facing west. The room we love best is our large, screened-in porch, just off the great room dining area, which projects out toward the sea and has spectacular ocean views on all three sides. It is furnished with wicker sofa and chairs, and a dining room table that seats four. Enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the Caribbean from this wonderful space. The main level of the house also has two large bedrooms, both with king beds, en-suite bathrooms, and flat-screen Fire TVs. There is also a separate powder room on this level, just off the great room. Beside it is a foyer where we keep beach towels and water toys. The foyer opens out to the board walk which takes you down our oceanfront recreation area (more on that later). From the main level, take the spacious nautically themed stairwell down to the lower level. This level features an extra-large family room equipped with comfortable sofas, big TV, and a vast collection of games, books, and other entertainment. Beside the family room is an over-sized bedroom that sleeps up to 6\. This bright and cheerful room is equipped with a queen bed, two twin beds, and two trundle beds. It has a full bathroom. The lower level is also equipped with a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. The best feature of Savannah Sunset is the oceanfront recreation area on the Caribbean. Here we have a covered oceanfront gazebo four seaside lounging and entertaining. There is also a waterfront platform. This protected area is great for swimming year-round, and offers excellent snorkeling and other water sports right in your back yard. There is also a new boat ramp, kayaks, and a brand new pool with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Ready to hit the beach? Little Bay Beach, our little nearby beach, is 150 yards down the shore from Savannah Sunset House, or 3/10's of a mile by dirt road. Walk there through the water at low tide, or ride on there on one of our bicycles. Ten Bay Beach, a mile-long Caribbean-side beach, is 3 or 4 minutes away by car. Amenities at Savannah Sunset include AC throughout, Starlink, Fire TV, gas grill, kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, crib, booster seat, playpen, generator and more. Savannah Sunset is located just 20 minutes from Governors Harbour, the main town on Eleuthera has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. You won't want to miss it. The town of Palmetto Point, just 10 minutes from the house, has several smaller stores and a good restaurant. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view was amazing and we spent alot of time in the pool or sitting on the covered porch. A few of us also enjoyed the kayaks. The host was very responsive and there were zero issues with check in. This was our 3rd trip to Eleuthera, but our first stay at this house. It was our favorite rental spot so far. Three couples had an amazing week. The house was very clean and pretty well furnished but it needs some attention. There are a lot of deferred maintenance issues. Lots of little things but they add up. Hot water faucet in bath didn't work. Front door key lock box is almost impossible to get into. Not a sharp knife in the house. The pool guys didn't come until we called. The infinity pool is not one because they didn't fill the pool up. The house instruction book is completely out of date (by 10 years) and promises things that are not provided i.e. welcome dinner, maid service etc. They need to update it or remove it as it is misleading. The water cooler leaks on the floor. No instructions about check in or check out were provided. The access road is terrible and you really need a vehicle with high clearance to get it and out. Nevertheless it was a great spot to enjoy the sun and ocean. The house was very good but could have been so much better with a little attention by the owner or manager. ##### William R. Room situation fantastic as my sister and I had our own en-suites on the main floor and the girls bunked downstairs together in the nautical room.Screened-in porch was wonderful! Feels like being on a boat. Nice to have pool right there and direct access to the beautiful Bahamian water. Fun to have kayaks and a SUP.Downside was that a few minor things didn't work in the house and the no-seeum gnats are pesky. And you have to drive quite a lot to get to places.But the beaches on the island are unbelievable and worth the price of admission.If you want a restful spot with incredible sunsets, this is the place. ##### Holly A. We utilized the infinity pool when the water was more rough from storms ( since traveled during rainy/hurricane season) and used the beautiful ocean on calm days for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking. Just resting and being with family! The house was perfect had enough dos e for bedrooms and kitchen had what we needed as we cooked most meals at the house! The screen porch was great for enjoying the tropical weather in our pj’s while having morning coffee or winding down in the evening discuss which new sea creatures we saw that day snorkeling while enjoying the amazing sunsets before bed. The island has one main road, which we got to know pretty well as we drove to explore the various beaches and sites every day. The pool is beautiful, but not heated. So, it was actually colder than the ocean/sea water. The house is equipped with everything you need to have fun... Bikes (though I would never risk riding on those roads), kayaks, boogie boards, etc.. The water equipment is inflatable, so make sure you pump them up before taking them out. Waking up every morning to see sunrise and the calm (or angry) water as the sun comes up or watch the gorgeous sunsets every night... Definitely highlights. We would definitely return. ##### Gwenn R. Everyone had their own bed and bath. Kitchen well equipped. View was better than expected. Loved the covered deck on the ocean. We will be planning a trip back to this property. The drive coming in was crazy but worth it. Not sure I would bring small children due to the lack of railing at the end of the pool but I understand why they weren't there. Wouldn't want anything blocking the view. Location was great being in the middle of the island. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic view and relaxing trip. ##### Scarlet V. She was non-responsive and unhelpful when we reached out to ask for help. She definitely has a log on her shoulder. Such sour, unpleasant and disrespectful attitudes from the get-go. We have never been made to feel so un-welcomed at a VRBO rental. By far the poorest house manager we have met in all our VRBO rentals! - We lost all power for 15 hours with no electricity and no water. The generator was supposed to kick in but didn't because it was broken. The housekeeper/manager was non-responsive when we reported this, she told us to go outside of the house, find the generator and turn on and off and try fixing the generator ourselves, which was so dangerous. When that didn't work, she said she would call someone to come fix it but never informed us about any progress. No one ever came. We finally reached out to the owner, who again told us to try to fix the generator, this time by removing a part of the switch (the fuse) and putting it back on. That didn't work either. So the owner sent a guy in the middle of the night. He was not an electrician, and almost set himself on fire by spraying the generator with some starter fluid. All this happened at mid-night , outside, in the dark. - After the above events, the amazing thing was that no one made any attempt to reach out and check on how we were doing, or offered any gesture of goodwill. Of course, we are very happy with the Island and we had lots of good memories to take home with us. We won't let couple of inconsiderate and unprofessional people ruin our vacation, but nonetheless feel that we need to report it just to be fair with other renters. ##### Grace C. All across the Caribbean and Hawaii. This was by far the nicest home we’ve ever rented. It was clean and fresh with a kitchen fit for a gourmet chef. Plenty of towels and linens, comfortable beds, and all the amenities of home. Although there is some construction finishing up next door, it’s in a quiet secluded location with easy access to nearby groceries, (Midway Costcutter) Tenbay Beach (3 minute drive) and some great snorkeling. There are coolers available for a day trips. We went north one afternoon to Queens Bath and Glass Bridge stopping for snacks and ice cream along the way. Also went south one morning to Ocean Hole, Lighthouse Beach, and stopped in Rock Sound to buy fresh fish from a local fisherman. The only disappointing aspect of this property is the extremely restrictive and unforgiving cancellation policy. The worst I’ve ever seen. At no point would you ever get all of your money back, and property managers won’t allow you to contact the owner personally. If your okay with that then I strongly recommend it. It’s a stunningly beautiful home in a Caribbean paradise and its central location makes it great for exploring. We will be back!!! ##### Tim W. I've been going to Eleuthera for several years and have rented over a dozen places easily......none of them compare to this!!!!!! Absolutely beautiful! FANTASTIC AND WELL STOCKED KITCHEN for those that like to cook. Everything you can possible think of. We got fresh fish and lobster from dock in Tarpum bay and cooked most of our own food!!! The pink grocery store just minutes South of home is BY FAR THE BEST ON THE ISLAND THAT I'VE FOUND!!!!!! The quality and prices of inventory was really the best I've seen on island from Bogue to Current and all the way down to Gregory Town and GH. They also make their own banana bread and sweets and sell them in the store. owners also very friendly!! The color scheme in Savana Sunset is unbelievable! It would seem that a lot of time and money went in to decorating this home......it's like out of a brochure. The cleaning lady Virginia is EXCELLENT and would put a lot of women out of business in the states. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!!! ##### gina t. Centrally located for access to both the Northern and Southern points of interest. Snorkeling right off the shore was good. We had some difficulties with the entertainment system however Virginia ironed it out.
