"Room was okay. Sad that when you pay $229 a night for a Comfort Inn, you get a room right next to hotel laundry, gross stained couch and carpet."

"Our room was clean and adequate. The breakfast was really no breakfast at all, just some pkgs of cherrioos, a few apples and oranges, small containers of yogurt. Coffee was not very good. The place looks like it needs a coat of paint and is right next door to a restaurant that has been abandoned for many years. It IS close to the walking trail along the river, which is nice, and very near the Eel River Brewery, which is a great place to eat. Stay here with your buddies on a motorcycle trip, but take your wife to the Best Western across the way."

"This is a lovely historic landmark hotel. It's unique, not your usual generic hotel. It has lots of antique fittings including what look like original telephone booths. The only downside was the breakfast which had no hot cooked food, there are prepackaged burritos and buns which need to be microwaved. The staff were very helpful."

"Staff was friendly and helpful, pace was fully renovated one year ago. Nicely done as well. All brand new furniture and fresh paint, new bathrooms. Very nice stay and served our travel purposes well. Thoughtful amenities like coffee and tissues were in the room. Highly recommend this property; I’d like to see these people succeed. They are even building a restaurant! Not open yet but really a gem to find in a world of chains!! Bravo!!"
