I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The underground parking was easily accessed & check-in efficient & friendly (English speaking). The room was compact but comfortable with a good sized, comfy bed. I didn't hear any noise from other guests and the room temperature was easily controlled. Good TV as well. Didn't try the pizza advertised but will be returning shortly & will do then.

We had a pleasant stay. Reception accommodated us upon early arrival. For an additional cost we chose the breakfast served at the hotel, it was excellant. Conveniently located within walking distance to all the sites and local street car close by. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again

Clean hotel, helpful staff. Note that the kitchen doesn’t have a toaster or microwave, so your food reheating options are limited to the induction cooktop. They did however have sharp knives (a rarity) so we could easily cut the apple and cheese we bought. Two things on location: the hotel is not near either train station, and the cabs at the station will gouge you. We got nabbed for €25 euros when we arrived. However when we left, the lovely receptionist called us a cab - and it was €15, even split with another couple. Knowledge is power. The hotel is close to a picturesque canal, and there’s a bridge across it right at the end of the hotel street. Do NOT cross that bridge and take that route into the centre of town, unless you want to endlessly trudge through the dullest streets in Gent. There aren’t even any bars to stop at for refreshment: I mean Dull. You’ll start to wonder why anyone goes to Ghent. However, at check-in the receptionist will give you a map and highlight an attractive, easy 20-25 minute route that puts you right in the centre of town. This route is perfect and cannot be improved. If someone you love looks at the map and says I see a better way, he is wrong. Throw him in the canal.

We were very pleased with our stay. We had booked a premium room, and it was nice and spacious, and came with a premium pod coffee maker. We’d originally booked a room with a view, but asked for a quiet room, and upon arrival were told that it was really only possible to have one or the other. We opted for the quiet room instead, and were given breakfast included instead to make up for the price difference. The breakfast was excellent, with both a big buffet and à la carte options. My only complaint is that the shower stall did not seem to be properly sealed - there was a small gap at the base of the door - and so if we weren’t very careful about the direction of the nozzle, it would flood the floor - we ended up using towels on the inside near the base of the shower door to create a makeshift barricade. But this was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was great. Decor unbelievable. And not expensive at all.
