While the hotel's location near the station was convenient for our early morning departure, the immediate area around the termini felt a bit sketchy. We also had some difficulty finding the hotel and figuring out the reception process. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. Apple Maps somehow showed the other one instead of this one when searched for Roman Station House (our bad, we did not follow the address, instead relied on name only), Other than that, we were good. We had 14 hours from the time our train came in from Lake Como until we had to catch another train to FCO airport the next morning. The accommodations are VERY simple but clean and all we needed for our family of three. 21 minutes walking distance to the Colosseum.. decent little restaurants within 10 minute walk. Basically all you need to sleep, shower (soap and clean towels inc.) get a bite to eat and on to the train.( which is across the street) be sure to read the instructions that they send you prior to arriving as to what time you’ll be there, etc. so that they know when to greet you to let you in the building.
