An excellent option to avoid the cost of a hotel in Rome. Great location. Room might be small but more than enough if you plan on seeing Rome. Be aware that breakfast is just a coffee and croissant, or similar pastry. While it was nice at a local cafe, I think more could be offered, even if you had to increase the room price per night by a couple of euros. Great place, very clean, comfortable bed, new fixtures in the bathroom. Security guard is there all the time, so we were able to drop our luggage early. RJ was responsive to questions in a timely manner. Only negatives was a slight musty smell, but you don’t notice that after a minute, and there is no sign outside, so finding it the first time took a bit of searching. Good location. We could not get the ac to work but we were there in April so it was fine with the window open on the one warm day. Negatives - The shower did not have a shelf to put toiletries and the trash needed to be removed. Location was pretty central, about a 30 minute walk or less to the main attractions. Some odd quirks like the cabinet that was actually a window to outside, but I guess that's how old buildings are! The security allowed us to leave our luggage on the last day so that was really nice. They did not speak English, but I was prepared with Google translate. You will need to walk pass restaurant to see the apartment building. Checking in was easy and fast. There is a 24hour guard on duty for you to access in/out of building so it’s very safe. However, guard does not speak any English when I have a question to ask on check out time and if I could leave luggage somewhere in the building after check out. no other way to speak to anyone else. Fortunately the owner of apartment came at check out time and he was very nice, and allowed me to leave luggage in my room till I came back in the late afternoon to collect my luggage and return my room key. Very happy with my stay, property was within walking distance to all Rome attractions.
