"The reception is not very welcoming - not what might be expected from a high rated hotel. The room was poor, low lights at night made the room dark. The shower was fixed to flood the room. House cleaners took things. The safe wasn’t operating and was not replaced during the stay. The TV automatically turned on in the early hours. The fridge was hidden behind cupboard doors unable to open easily. Many bare cables exposed. The lifts are a disaster between 9.30 and 11.30."

"Unfortunate and terrible experience at this property. Rooms were unbearably hot during a severe heatwave. Management refused to let us switch to a room not directly in the sun and there was only a small desk fan in the room to cool off. Bathrooms were also not cleaned."

"A truly unique and quirky hotel that is full of surprises and each bedroom is themed, even down to the books! Staff were very friendly and helpful and it's well placed for easy transport into both the city and Docklands. We had an issue with smells in our first bedroom so they moved us. The bed was large and comfortable and the air con was efficient, cooling the room down quickly. The place was very clean and my only comment is that it could do a little bit of TLC in places; our shower door...
