The Sunset Lake Cabin is a beautiful chalet style cabin on a beautiful piece of lakefront property and nestled in the woods. It has a little bit of everything, towering pine trees, amazing lake views and a very quiet relaxing atmosphere. Natural beautiful wood throughout. You’ll think you’re in Napa Valley. Open floor plan sleeping with loft bunks overlooking two story stone fireplace and antler chandelier. Open floor plan sleeps 10. Located directly next to Ripley Beach with access down to the water! Four queen beds up with huge windows making you feel Like you’re sleeping in a treehouse. One full bed on the main floor with close proximity to main floor full bath for guest convenience. There is a large wrap around deck with cable railing and even an outdoor shower. Decks allow for shaded relaxing or sunbathing areas. Regular wildlife visits include Buttercup the doe and Kevin the Fox. A new buck has also joined the family but has yet to be named. Modern amenities in a natural environment. The views are endless. Within walking distance is an amazing stone beach and amazing cliffs to soak in views that amaze. Lake is approximately 100 yards north following the driveway through the rest of the property. Driveway leads down to the water following the river with amazing views as well as sunset. Located directly next to the property (East) is the popular Ripley Beach that is a public area with steps down to the public beach area depending on the time of year. There is a walking path along the water that guests can use to access the area or guests can also drive over if they wish. Also the edge of the property has a cliff down to the water. There isn't a guard rail so please use caution if standing near the cliffs edge. The ground may be soft near the edge as well. We haven't had any accidents or issues however we would like to keep it that way to ensure all guests are aware of potential risks and stay safe, especially guests with children. Please practice common sense around the cliffs and Proceed at your own risk. Also waves can get rough at times in the lake. If you are swimming in the lake please also proceed at your own risk. High speed fiber internet and high end appliances. Work remote in a quiet relaxed environment or unplug to getaway from it all and connect with nature. Please contact us with an ETA and we will meet you at the cabin. The cabin is located on Lake Erie and is a few miles from the Lake Erie Wine Trail with lots of wineries, breweries and great restaurants for your enjoyment. Pets, Parties, and Events will need to be approved with host prior to reservation. There is a $100 pet fee due prior to check-in. Reservations to host Weddings are subject to an additional Venue and Cleaning fee. Please inquire with host for more information and pricing. You must be 26+ years old to make a reservation due to safety and insurance requirements, unless otherwise approved by host. Valid ID will need to be presented at check-in. The use of confetti, glitter, silly string, or any other party supplies that result in stains or additional cleaning is strictly prohibited on the premises. Violation of this will result in additional cleaning fees charged to your reservation as well as forfeit of your reservation deposit. If house rules are broken; including non-disclosed pets, additional guests, not approved parties/events, abuse/damage to home/property will result in a No-Refund Cancellation & Deposit withheld. Reservation modifications are treated as and subject to the same rules as the cancellation policy. Communication was almost instant - the cabin was immaculate - there were so many fantastic little touches it was as if we stayed in a 5 star hotel! We loved the location, took daily walks and toured around the area taking in the beautiful scenery and ate some fantastic meals. People in all the surrounding towns were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this cabin to friends and family. We really wish we could have just moved in and stayed! It's on our return to list for next year. The wraparound porch was lovely, and provided great scenery for some of our meals. The nature of some of the beds in those little alcoves could make sleeping cramped for a larger number, but for six it worked perfectly. By far and away the best highlight is that overlook. Just a short walk away, beautiful view while benefiting from the shade of the trees. Woods and beach in one location really can't be beat. The beach itself was slightly harder to access than I had realized, but it didn't stop us going down there several times. While the weather was cloudy enough to prevent us getting a perfect sunset, I can only imagine what that view must be like. What we got was stunning enough. ##### Caleb K. It’s very clean especially because dogs are allowed which we absolutely LOVE. Everything is modern and tasteful. It’s well stocked with anything you need- and I mean anything. Good attention to detail and easy communication with Lauren. We spent my 40th birthday weekend here with another family, our children, and as mentioned our dogs. The beach itself is quite private and beautiful. Close to eerie- we loved Presque Isle. Barcelona beach is a few miles up the road from the cabin and was a great fishing spot for the boys. Cons: The pictures of the wooden stairs down to the water needs update or removed- there are stairs missing and broken and there’s about a 20-30ft drop there. The metal stairs located over toward the public beach are accessible but they’re very steep to be careful and there’s one section midway that is treacherous and gave me major anxiety that one of the kids was going to fall backward. I guess it’s hard to explain, but it’s definitely a little scary. No dishwasher, washer/dryer there- which would be a major time saver and improvement to the space. A small pantry would also be beneficial. A small handheld vacuum would be great also bc with kids and dogs you’re dragging sand in and out bc of the beach and obviously being in the woods. ##### Ashley M. Very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can get to a spectacular Lake Erie beach down a steep staircase near the back of the property. Chautauqua was a good 20 minute or so drive from the house, but we enjoyed the commute through miles of vineyards. Several wineries and breweries in the area.
