Overall a nice hotel, spacious rooms, clean and well kept.
Upon arrival we were assigned our room, when we went up to the room and opened the door, another couple was in the room. The front desk had double-assigned the room. Since I paid for a king suite and the folks in 'our' room paid for a double queen, we didnt want to just swap because it would not have been an even one. The hotel originally brought that up as a possibility which I felt should not have even been brought up. It was rather uncomfortable feeling like we were kicking this couple out of a room even though it was neither of our fault. In addition when my wife opened the door, the gentleman was laying on the bed watching tv and his wife was in the bathroom. Walking in on a couple in a hotel room had the potential to be a lot more embarrassing.
We had to find something to do while they cleaned the room again. I think the staff could have been a bit more gracious with the error. For instance, I would think they would have offered to bring our luggage up to the room once it was finished being clean, but they did not. They did give us a complimentary breakfast for the mistake and that was appreciated.
I'm not one to complain, but I this place isn't a Hampton Inn, it was a fairly pricey stay and I would expect a little better treatment of guests, treatment that reflects the cost, especially when a mistake is made.
