"The unit was one of a variety of cabins on the property. The layout of the cabin was a bit of a surprise as the listing on Expedia didn’t specifically identify the photos for each cabin. What we missed was a chair or two to sit on other than on the bed, but once seeing the size of the unit, it would be difficult to find room for that. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We prepared a meal there. The deck has a lovely forest view which we enjoyed....

The host gave us a tour of all of his custom built cabins that he has on the property and was thoughtful enough to gift us a bottle of champagne for my girlfriend’s birthday. "We enjoyed a lovely short stay at The Sockeye house! We flew in from MN to visit family in Anchorage and everybody took a trip to Seward for a little extra Alaskan getaway. This was a spacious place to stay that accommodated 4 families of varying age ranges and sizes. Great location, beautiful property, everything we needed! And Mary Beth was great to communicate with! The Alaskans said they will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits. "
