![If you look closely you can see one of the paths that wind through the rock formations at Garden of the Gods. These rock formations are an amazing sight because they seem to have come from nowhere. There are no other formations like these anywhere in sight so you're left with a sense of wonderment. ![Garden of the Gods is a really cool group of rock formations that seems to burst from the ground out of nowhere. There are large boulders in the area but nothing like these. When you get here, there is a road that goes around the entire area so you can see the formations from all angles. "We found out when we checked in that the pool was closed for renovations. Throughout our stay we noted room service dishes left in the hallway for hours during the day. The room we stayed in had a strange odor (likely from a previous stay smoking something and getting into the ventilation filters). The shower was hot, but it did not drain well and typically had 3 to 4 inches water in the tub by the time we completed our shower. We had stayed here before and liked it but the quality has definitely declined. The hotel also started charging $10 for parking. Even though they offer a free shuttle to the airport. I noted no signs on their parking lot stating it was for hotel residence only. "

"The view was extremely impressive!!! I wished there were better restaurants and more souvenir shops. Many went out of business. The nice steak restaurant I went to gave me a steak that looked like it was made the day before & they re-heated. It was extremely salty, dry & dark. I ordered Prime Rib. It should not look like a burnt rib eye. It should have been very juicy."

"The food and beverage options have always been top notch at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. We were very pleased with everything in that way. Our room was very clean, comfortable and had an amazing view. Disappointed that, on top of the daily resort fee, they are charging $25/day for self park. We have never encountered that before and all the extra fees just add up."
