"We had a very enjoyable stay, our guide was excellent, helped by the fact that he grew up locally. We thought that property maintenance had probably lapsed due covid and some cosmetic improvements were due, which we noticed had started. "The boat journey is exciting and comfortable despite being 8 hrs up river and 5 back. If lucky u meet the researchers and hear about their ingenious projects focused on the flora and fauna and the staff are attentive and wonderful as is the food. We were up at 4.30 most mornings which is no sweat as u go to bed about 9 pm. The clay licks are disappointing this time of year as the Macaws come rarely and the smaller birds fear the hawks without the macaws on the lick...but the birds accumulate...

"Limited dining to only whatever dish they are serving and the times they serve. No options. No hot water in the cabins for shower. They tried to put us in a group to do all the same excursions as a group. We opted out of the excursions, which all cost extra. Wanted to relax by the pool but cool weather settled in for a few days. Great view and quick walk to an incredible left point break and restaurants. Very friendly staff makes you feel like a comfy local vip. "Attended international SKÅL CONFERENCE ONLY NEGATIVE was Rm 117 no where to hang WET TOWELS left on the counter and they kept replacing them. No one replaces towels at home everyday or sheets every second day…waste of water, time and money. If towels are not on the floor they ar CLEAN. PLEASE INSTALL HOOKS SO PEOPLE CAN HANG UP TOWRLS….THERE IS LOTS OF WALL SPACE…because it’s not eco friendly …it really bothered me. Otherwise our stay was excellent ..tamara macIntosh"
