Sunny Beach Motel

8/10 Good

"This was an amazing location! So happy to be here especially for the price. We didn’t know we were getting a kitchen so that was a bonus. We thought we would get a small fridge and that’s it. We had a full fridge and full stove/oven. There was a separate bedroom plus a pull out sofa/bed. It was clean, for the most part. Some yucky dust on trim and I only noticed because I’m hyper vigilant. Most people wouldn’t notice. Plenty of shampoo and tp provided. But not enough towels. There were two of us there and only two bath towels provided. Should be four. I put the ‘maid’ sign out after our first night and no one attended to our room when we came back about 10 hours later. Also, only two pillows on the queen sized bed. I found one other pillow in the dresser but we would have liked at least one more. Overall, the price and location and having full cooking capabilities was a definite bonus. The plates/pots/pans weren’t sufficient for a long stay, but for two nights it was great for us. The location is amazing! I would stay here again. "

Balcomo, a Ramada by Wyndham

"I can not say enough good things about my stays at the balcomo… I’ve been staying here for work over the past 2.5 yrs and each experience has always been a good one from all the staff that have greeted me, and the ones who now remember me and welcome me by either first or last name upon each stay. Parking for the back units and tower are secured, a bonus for me and my work truck. The pool and hot tub and cold plunge are amazing in the summer. The local public eatery is also a nice add on for dining. Clean rooms as well. The wifi has been upgraded to some super reasonable download speeds. Love for work and gaming lol. The list goes on."

"Did the location, it was an easy 5 star......right in the heart of the action, on the beach. You can't ask for better, especially at a mid week price. The front desk were good as well. However, the room wasn't the room I booked, it was just a connecting piece of a larger room. The bathroom was filthy and the shower head was at the 5 foot level, and at 6'2, that made showering difficult. I can only speak to the room we got, but I'd rate our room at about 2.5. The stairwell was disgusting as well, and despite it being a non smoking property, there were cigarette butts all over the stairs. It was great for location, but I wouldn't spend more than a night or two there, at least not in the room we were in"

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent rate for a one bedroom suite located directly across from the beach at Okanagan Lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved our room and all the amenities, had everything needed to prepare meals. Only thing we would suggest is that it would be nice if the resort had an ice machine. We will definitely stay there again."
