General room is OK, however, not to any hotel standard by all imagination. Rooms are under renovation so ours seems to be OK. The hotel price is shocking as we leave it too late to secure a place to stay, paid an absolute silly price tag for it. The experience was not great neither, we arrived 5:30 to go to a gig, then the stuff said the room is not ready yet and we have to wait for 10-15 minutes, and asked us to be considerate.. yet the check-in time is stated as 3pm as industry standard. Not impressed and have to leave the baggage and run for the gig. Back by 11pm to get the room. We were given a double bed by mistake, as we definitely booked a twin book, system error as they claimed, and one of the staff said there is no room and we are not going to give in, we rather sleep in the train station. After some staff chat, they offered us a three bed room, so we thought that’s it. Guess what, 20 minutes after, staff knocked our door and said they have ‘found’ a twin room for us. Not impressed.

Easy parking, the staff were very helpful and even gave me a room upgrade. The only thing that would have made the room better would have been a little fridge. But apart from that the room and facilities were great.

Close to train station and also castle.

Large characterful rooms and spacious bathrooms. Very friendly staff and close to the train station if you’re arriving by rail.

Nice room of adequate size and well appointed. The sleep quality was excellent. The room WIFI was very slow and the breakfast room was so icy cold that I ate my b'fast in the lobby. The air con was turned up much too high despite the heatwave having moderated significantly the day before. This waste of energy conflicts with modern concern over the environment.
