Best Western Springfield West Inn

"The staff were nice. The vending machine was out of order. The Ice machine was old and it tasted a little weird. Breakfast has its own room and is small so sitting in there is a little uncomfortable but, it’s not very fresh. The yogurt tasted sour. There is a waffle maker so thats a plus. There was no chain or latch for the doo just the lock. The sink is out in the open and separate from the bathroom which is annoying if you’re not by yourself. If you’re staying here for proximity for the BIG E, it is a close RIDE NOT WALK. Unfortunately its listed as 10 minute walk which is not true its a 10 minute drive. The walls are kind of paper thin so yes you can hear that elevator ding. This is located on a a very busy highway like street so if you need something quick and decide to walk its like 20 minutes down. Be prepared for a lot of U turns to get to the other side of the road. Also if you’re going for the BIG E be prepared for your uber rides to not want to take you all the way there to memorial drive in fear of getting stuck in traffic. You will hear a lot of huffing and puffing. Try putting the location to Friendly’s on 19 Springfield Street and just walk down. Saves you the trouble. Overall location is great, building is old, staff is working with what they got, not terrible, not amazing, but works for budget."

"The staff was excellent; very professional, pleasant and competent. The on-site parking was so convenient! The hotel shows its age a little bit—the refrigerator in my room wasn’t working, and one of the ice machines was broken—but everything was very clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was convenient and good. Will definitely stay here again."

"Lovely inn with a delicious breakfast included, with real china dishes. Very close to the college & botanical gardens (walking distance). Safe. Cozy. Elegant. Quiet. Clean. Quaint. Tons of books and games to stay in. Everything you want in a cute inn. They do not have a 24 hour desk but have clear instructions to get the key from the lockbox after hours."

"I have stayed here several times and I always have a wonderful experience. Very convenient when visiting my daughter at school. I was a little disappointed this morning when the coffee machine wasn’t functioning properly because I normally love the coffee they provide as part of their breakfast. Other than that, our day was fantastic!"

"I have a bit of difficulty with the trend of not providing daily housekeeping in a room that rents for over $100 a night. This property displayed a sign that stated that daily housekeeping was available on request. I made that request but had to repeatedly remind staff when housekeeping was not provided (2 days out of 6). The tired explanation of COVID does not convince me. A minor inconvenience."
