Here you are midway between the Invalides Museum (where Napoleon I is buried), the Quai Branly Museum for indigenous art and the Champs de Mars park with the Eiffel Tower. This is a high value residential district that is home to many diplomats, French government administrators, and academics from the nearby American University. It has easy access to transportation with the Ecole Militaire metro station and bus lines 69, 80, 28, and 920 The apartment which is on the first level ( second american ) of a XIX century building consists of a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer and a table for 2, a bedroom with a hotel quality queen size ( 160cm\*200cm or 65\*80 inches ) bed, closet, tv and desk and a small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. kitchen and bedroom opens with 2 windows on a quiet and large courtyard planted with trees therefore is away from street noise. you can sleep with windows open. both windows close with wooden shutters. The apartment comes with free WI-Fi and free cable TV . The all-inclusive rental fee covers quality linens and towels. The location is very convenient to tour Paris. It is a walking distance (less than or around five minutes) to eiffel tower, museum du quai branly, invalides, rodin museum) . It is a lovely walk (less than 30 minutes) or a short direct metro ride (less than 5 minutes) to the tuileries garden , louvre, champs elysees. Please be aware of the contractual 40 euro for any check in before 1200pm and after 900pm. If the apartment is not rented the night before the 40 euro applies in all cases. Bon accueil malgré un retard d’avion de deux heures hors de notre contrôle. L’emplacement est idéal, près de tout épicerie, métro, Tour Eiffel. L’appart est vraiment comme sur les photos. Lit très confortable. Situé au deuxième étage nous permettant de dormir les fenêtres ouvertes sans inquiétude. Lave-linge fonctionne (ne vous gênez pas pour demander son fonctionnement!). Séchoir à linge SOUS lit...nous l’avons cherché. Vraiment le seul bémol est la construction dans l’immeuble adjacent (beaucoup de bruit) mais si vous êtes des lève -tôt (vers 8h)...pas de problème. Un autre couple attendait pour leur clé depuis plusieurs minutes... comme si c'était notre faute. L'accueil n'était vraiment pas à la hauteur de nos attentes. Présentation des consignes en quelques secondes. Document en anglais seulement. Son urgence d'avoir la balance de son argent était à la limite insultante. Appartement très froid. 24 heures de chauffage au maximum pour avoir un certain confort. Propreté lassant à désirer surtout pour le plancher. Pour les meubles, il y avait de la poussière comme si l'appartement n'avait pas été loué depuis plusieurs semaines. Des travaux à proximité dès 8 h le matin. Comment expliquer que du plâtre se retrouvait par terre tous les matins, entre le couloir d'entrée et la salle de bain ??? Vous pouvez imaginer les coups et la vibration que devait supporter la structure de l'habitation. Que dire de la douche, j'avais bien lu que c'était petit mais soyez averti quelle est minuscule. Une personne de plus de 200 lbs ou 90 kg aura beaucoup de difficulté à s'y glisser. Aussi, attention aux brûlures car l'eau chaude est vraiment trop chaude. Seules avantages, sa localisation et sa proximité avec le métro. Le rue Cler est très sympatique. ##### Sylvie S. Uns station de métro se trouve à moins de 200m et la proximité avec la rue Cler est une bénédiction. Sur cette rue il y a multitudes de boutiques, bistros, épicerie, charcuterie, boucherie, fruiterie, brasserie etc. L’appartement n’est cependant pas selon les standards Nord-Américains. Salle de bain minuscule, (1m X 1m) petite cuisine que pour deux, petite chambre à coucher. Cependant, même si vieillot, le tout était très propre. Tous les accessoires de cuisine étaient presque neufs, vaisselle, coutellerie, micro-onde, etc. Literie de bonne qualité, lit confortable. Appartement silencieux autant des bruits de la rue que du voisinage. La petite cours intérieure n’est pas des plus accueillantes, mais on n’y reste pas. Finalement la description et les photos concordaient avec l'annonce. Unfortunately, that is its only real advantage.The accommodation is extremely basic and poorly maintained, even by Paris rental standards. Cleanliness was below expectations throughout. If the Eiffel Tower is the primary reason for your visit then this is an amazing place to stay. You really are a couple minutes walk from the tower and just outside are amazing places to eat. Easy access to the metro and buses. This is a place to eat and sleep, very quiet. Grocery store around the corner! Although, with what's surrounding you, you might not want to eat in. Our only issue, however small, was the host. He was irritated at us that we took the transit lines someone else suggested. And also upon arrival, corrected us on European terminology of things in the apartment and looked at us confused when we didn't understand immediately that the washer also dried. Us silly north Americans use two appliances to do what this one did. Our bad. We came to Paris for everything outside of this place and this apartment gave us that. We spent 8 hours in it a day and that was to shower and sleep. Easy Walk to Metro, Eiffel Tower, d'Orsay, Rodin, other museums. Large bedroom with desk & closet/hangars. Kitchen (with plenty of counter and pantry spaces) was well equipped, we enjoyed eating breakfasts in daily. Medium fridge fit all our food. Windows open onto quiet courtyard. You can sometimes hear neighbors/dog walking above, but never loud enough to wake us. Bed is soft & sags in middle, could use new mattress and/or frame. But we slept very well! Plenty of nice towels, bath mats, bed linens (including cozy puff and an extra blanket). We ran the washer/dryer unit during the day, since it takes about 4.5 hours to cycle. Clothes came out clean and dry, a big plus! We were unable to open the large clothes rack but we used it flat, porpped against wall. Would absolutely love to rent this fabulous place again, but the tiny shower was a dealbreaker, due to its treacherous slippery floor. Bath mat did not suction, & it often slipped. Needs a grab bar & a shelf or caddy for soap, shampoo (none). Soft cloth curtain stuck to our backs during each shower. Thick plastic might be better. Toilet is snug up against left wall, so your left thigh will be pressed against cold tile bathroom wall when using it. Nevertheless, we would tolerate toilet, tiny sink and bathroom, if only shower floor was safer. Sad that we will not return. This apartment is a gem in every other way! ##### Jan V.
