"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"Located in a quaint spot just off Kyoto station, 8-15 mins walk depending on how fast you walk, you get to be in a quiet space. Room is clean, equipped with a collapsible pantry, microwave too! Best part is that the toilet’s equipped with an overhead heater, its a very nice touch. Warm and fuzzy after a hot bath. "

"Very traditional ryokan and very clean. The rooms were a decent size and the area was quiet. The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "Tired building with paper walls, clean, friendly staff, NOT recommended if you are intending to sleep. If you need to sleep, bring professional earplugs, normal ones won't work. You will hear absolutely everything going on in the rooms beside you. I had a horrible night. "
