"It is a classic feeling French space that is spacious but just be prepared for things not to be at 4 star level. Full access to the kitchen is nice and you will have large downstairs and outdoor areas to use. If you have mobility issues avoid because of the circular staircase. Quiet area. "

"This was a wonderful place. I would have made this a destination rather than a quick overnight into France. The building is charing and historic but with nicely updated rooms, comfortable beds and bedding, and lovely farm views. The breakfast was wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The setting is serene and beautiful. And the whole stay was very affordable."

The hotel is quite something!
Walked around the grounds and it was amazing.. To the spiral staircases, to the gardens to the violin playing over the speakers.
Room was spacious and the bed super comfortable.
The only neutral-negative comment would be the breakfast. It cost 15Euros which is fine. In fact it could easily be baked into the cost of the room and I wouldn't bat an eye since the stay itself it great value. The breakfast doesn't live up the magnificence of the rest of the hotel.

What a different experience! Fabian (manager) runs everything (and is run off his feet). Lovely vintage style rooms (with modern bathrooms) in a castle like setting in a tiny village. Easy 40 minute drive to Verdun battlefield areas. NO services in the village! It's a 5 minute drive to town for gas or groceries. 1.8 km away - if you're tempted to walk it, it would be 1.8 km up STEEP hills to get back.
We had the multicourse dinner - expensive, but worth it. Plan on a full evening for this (3 hrs...

What a wonderful place to stay! An old hunting lodge in a small village in the French countryside within easy driving distance to Metz. You drive up a small incline and arrive at the front of the property which is part of a working farm. The front entrance looks great! The owners son let us in (there is a number to call on the door if you get there and no one is in the building) and led us to our room.
