It blends old New Orleans charm with modern comforts and amenities. Inside, it has been beautifully remodeled in 2019 with an open floor plan, modern furnishings, all new appliances, and wooden floors. The place features 14-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the apartment with natural light, and local art. The backyard features a deck with seating. This unit is 1 of 4 in a larger house. The newly renovated interior features elegant decor throughout. The fully-stocked open plan kitchen featuring all new appliances is the perfect spot to cook a delicious meal. The fast internet and smart LED TVs in all rooms allows you to relax after a long day exploring the city. Each room is thoroughly cleaned between guests, and fresh linens and toiletries are provided to ensure a comfortable stay. The Lower Garden District was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the most scenic and wealthy areas of all New Orleans. Grand, historic mansions line the streets, making it a scenic neighborhood away from the bustle of the French Quarter and perfect for strolling. Find yourself within walking distance to upscale dining, craft cocktails and rare antiques. However, there is also casual dining, local bars, and boutiques all in the area as well. Nearby attractions include the World War II Museum, Audubon Park & Zoo, Lafayette Cemetery, Commander's Palace, and the shops of Magazine Street. Just a few minutes away from the Lower Garden District and a short car ride away is the famed French Quarter. Opt for taking the charming streetcar down St. Charles Avenue and enjoy all the sites in between. Many attractions can be enjoyed by foot, but for other means of transportation there are nearby blue bike share hubs. Taxis and ride shares such as Uber and Lyft operate heavily in the area. The St. Charles streetcar line is just one block away and can transport you up to the French Quarter or across to Riverbend. Mattress seemed to be made of sponge material - we tended to both roll to center during the night, and slide off the edges when trying to sit on it. We did not have real good nights of sleep. Also, it is VERY convenient to Tram (green) only 5 min. walk that takes you to Canal St. It has street parking right in front of the place with no issues. Only a small issue with the place, very low water pressure in the shower and noise from unit upstairs. Else very good place and I would stay there again. ##### Rajiv S. We were able to park on the street right by the house and leave the car for the entire stay. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and very easy to hop on the trolley and head towards the French Quarter one way and the Garden District the other. The property was very well maintained. Our only issue was the very low water pressure, but you get that in cities. Overall a terrific place! ##### John P. Close to public transportation and also easy to park. Close to eateries, but not to groceries. Adequately equipped kitchen, but not great if you want to do a lot of cooking. Bailey was accessible and responsive to my questions ahead of time and very helpful, but didn’t give me the code before I arrived. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place. ##### maxine H. Great situated - 30 min walk from French Quarter (we loved the walk!), and Street Cars from St George Ave a small block away. Day-Ticket with Street Car only $3\. Beautiful apartment, looks newly renovated, clean and without any clutter. Has any kitchen-wear needed, fridge with freezer, washer and dryer. One bedroom was without windows so a bit dark, the other light and big. Great beds. Appartment had nice bed sheets and towels. If anything, the only drawback was that we didn’t find a grocery store near the appartment, but I suppose the host would have hjelped us with that had we asked. Places to eat very close by. The host was great, answered any written questions about instantly. I will for sure stay here again if I return, something I hope to do. ##### Anne S. Good coffee shop nearby for an easy morning walk and of course the streetcar access was perfect which took us to all the spots we wanted to go. ##### John C. We mostly walked to the French Quarter and other sights as it was an easy, safe walk of about 30 minutes. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.
