Angelica's Cottage built in the early 1900's has been fully restored retaining its Architectural design. The Cottage features a 3BR / 2BA, Fully equipped kitchen w/ Stainless Steel Applicances and tranquil private courtyard. The Cottage has gorgeous hardwood floors and sophisticated artwork throughout. Relax on the over-sized porch equipped with vintage Rocking Chairs as Jazz second lines pass the front Door.

The New Orleans "Shotgun" Style home features a large Living area beautifully decorated with a flat screen TV and Dinette table / Chairs.

There are 3 private bedrooms w/ Queen Size Beds (Sleeps 2) w/ Flat Screen TV's; Linen, Pillows and extra blankets are provided. Bath #1 has exquisite tile w/ Tub and shower combo. Bath #2 was recently added and has a beautiful shower spa.

The Fully Equipped gourmet kitchen includes utensils, cutlery, cookware, microwave, coffee pot and more.

This culturally rich and full of life neighborhood offers our guests the finest "Big Easy" retreat. The Louis Armstrong Park, Mahalia Jackson Theater, French Market, French Men street, Jackson Square, many shops and restaurants are just a short walking distance away. While in the French Quarters I encourage you to walk to Canal and enjoy wonderful sidewalk window shopping. While on Canal St. jump aboard the Garden District Streetcar line and experience stunning Architecture and Stately Mansions as it passes Lee Circle down St Charles St . Jump off and enjoy Trendy Magazine St. full of Fashion Boutiques, Wine Galleries and Restaurants.

Wonderful location!!Close enough to walk to all the sites or take the street car, yet just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. I did not realize it was a duplex when booking, but it wasn’t an issue at all.

Angelica’s Creole Cottage was perfect for my family’s trip. The authentic, shotgun style home is nestled into the heart of the historic Treme neighborhood right across from the historic St. Augustine Church and the Tomb of the Unknown Slave.We were walking distance from so much of what NOLA has to offer; Frenchman St, Bourbon St., Louis Armstrong Park, the African American Museum, and so much more. Less than 2 blocks from a stop on the Rampart St. streetcar and steps away from a lovely local coffee shop and convenience store. The home had all the amenities we needed and Penelope (Penny) was a friendly and gracious host. Five stars, we would definitely stay there again.

What a great place to stay , we walked into the French Quarter every day , local coffee shops were a 5 minute walk , we took a swamp tour and the bus route pick-up was just two blocks away.House and neighborhood has a lot of old world charm , the chairs on the front porch got a lot of use during our stay, would definitely stay here again!

There was a slight hiccup in getting access-- but when i say this place was a dream to stay at, im not joking. We woke to the drums of the two sister blessing across the street for FAT Tuesday.You are across and very close to everything you would want to see on mardi gras.Definitely coming back here for an off season visit to NOLA.

We loved the neighborhood. An easy walk to the French Quarter but still very quiet. While we were there, the parking lot at the church was under construction so we parked on the street….and didn’t move our vehicle until we left. The house is a traditional shotgun, it’s so cool. We were comfortable and it was perfect for a long weekend. Ms. Penelope has wonderful correspondence.

This is a charming older home in New Orleans, which is located in a great location. Easy to get around, and the area is nice and quiet - for New Orleans. This is a shotgun home (long and narrow) with a great front porch and a nice backyard patio. The bedrooms are a good size, and each has its own locking door. The living/dining area is not very large, but it accommodated all 6 of us when we wanted to hang out and watch TV or sit and visit. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. I would suggest adding more silverware, as there were no standard spoons, only soup spoons. Local cats hung out on the porch and in the greenery, enjoying the sunshine. You can walk to local restaurants and bars while soaking up the local culture.

This historic Creole cottage is in an ideal location to walk to many sites including the French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, many great restaurants, and the culturally rich Tremé. Communication with our exceptional host was easy. She was always responsive and helpful. This was my second time staying at the cottage and highly recommend it.

Great Family Vacation!

We wanted a New Orleans style house within walking distance of The French Quarter, Frenchman St. but not in those areas. This Treme house fit us perfectly! We needed 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the living area was comfortable and the front porch and beautiful garden was an extra bonus!

Great Location

I stayed here with my mom and sister and it was the perfect location, close to the French Quarter, but far enough away that if was peaceful. It was great having 3 bedrooms, so we each had our own room. It had all of the amenities we needed and the host was very responsive. I would stay here again.

Great vacation spot in the Big Easy

This was a great place for our vacation this year. The place is clean and comfortable. It's amazingly convenient, with easy walking distance to anywhere within the French Quarter.Since we were going to be there for a whole week, we rented a car so we could travel elsewhere in the city. Parking in front of the residence was never any problem as there was always a spot or two right in front of the cottage. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy to get to Carnival; off parade route so not too loud.

Property was clean; Penelope was extremely nice and accomodating. 15 min walk to Bourbon St.; about the same to "downtown" Canal St. Great local restaurants also; did Fatma's Cozy Corner for breakfast, and would recommend Liuzza's by the Track for lunch. Don't feed the neighbor's cats; they like to serenade you at night in return.

Great house

This house was big and for us all perfectly! Host was quick to answer and helpful when needed. Let us check in early. We left early check out and may of forgot things amd she was helpful to go look for us early in the morning. Can’t ask for a better host.
