The best time to visit the Naval Academy in Annapolis is during the spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and comfortable for exploring.

Springtime in Annapolis is particularly lovely, with blooming flowers and milder temperatures. This period often coincides with various Academy events, such as Commissioning Week in May, which is a significant and celebratory time, though it can also be busier and require booking accommodation well in advance. Couples might enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the city as it awakens from winter.

Autumn also offers ideal conditions with crisp air and the beautiful colours of changing leaves. The crowds tend to be smaller than in summer, making it a great time for a more relaxed visit. Families will appreciate the comfortable weather for walking tours of the campus and exploring the historic downtown area without the intense summer heat.

While summer (July and August) is warm and sunny, it can be quite hot and humid, and you'll find more tourists.
