Picket Fence Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1 &1/2 bath home within walking distance of MTSU and the historic downtown square, a PRIME location! This charming 1927 cottage is sure to please when you see the welcoming front porch and white picket fence. Come inside and enjoy the beautiful restoration, highlighted by the original hardwood floors, gorgeous crown moldings and glass doorknobs.

This home has been fully restored, which includes new paint, plumbing, tankless hot water heater, lighting, Wi-Fi, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances, while keeping the historic charm of its 1927 heritage.

As you enter the front door you will find the living room outfitted with a high quality leather recliner and sofa. Watch your favorite show on the 55" flat screen smart TV. Enjoy “live” TV through our subscription to Hulu and many other Apps with your own personal log in.

The dining room boasts a sparkling new chandelier that adds ambiance to a romantic meal or special gathering. The antique furniture includes a lovely dining table with comfortable seating for 6 . . . a place where memories are made!

The renovated kitchen is complete with an adorable breakfast nook and coffee bar! Dan loves to cook and has outfitted the kitchen with all the necessary items needed to create your culinary delights. The cottage has an under counter water filtration system for the kitchen.

All 3 bedrooms have queen beds, with memory foam mattresses. 2 of the bedrooms have Roku smart TV's and all 3 bedrooms have phone chargers at the bedside and room darkening curtains.

*PLEASE NOTE: The middle bedroom is a “walk-through” bedroom. The back bedroom has a separate entrance from the courtyard.

The main bath has a tiled tub/shower combo. A brand new tankless hot water system has been installed so that you will never run out of hot water while taking a shower!

But wait . . . that is not all! Out back, the cottage hides a charming secret garden, that is so private and serene you will never want to leave. It is enclosed by a fence and canopy of trees. On cool evenings, grill out and enjoy time with family and friends under the stars!

We stayed in Rebecca’s home when we came up to help our son move into his apartment for his junior year. We loved this property! Lots of thoughtful touches and very comfortable. We’ve stayed at lots of VRBO properties over the years and this is one of our favorites.

Perfect getaway
Everything about this property is amazing. The home is beautiful, the neighborhood is beautiful, and the hosts have thought of Everything. The evening we arrived there were terrible stoms and tornadoes going thru TN. The host messaged us and kept us aware of the weather conditions we would be driving in to. We appreciated that so much considering we were in unfamiliar territory. We have stayed in several vrbo properties over the years but this one is my favorite and by far these are the best hosts we've ever had. I would give 6 stars if i could.

We enjoyed the cottage house! It was beautifully decorated and just a delightful place to stay. Location was convenient to downtown as well. Wish our stay was longer but if we are ever back in the area will stay again.

Great location for MTSU Homecoming Weekend
We arrived and were thrilled to see the house was along the MTSU Homecoming Parade route. Simply walked up to the corner (1 house back from Main Street) and there was the parade. We were able to walk to the tailgate and football game in no time. The home is beautifully decorated and has great outdoor space as well. Owners are wonderful to communicate with and such gracious hosts. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home for a stay in Murfreesboro.

Graduation Celebration
We had a wonderful trip celebrating our son's graduation from MTSU. The Picket Fence Cottage was the perfect place to call home for our family. Clean, cozy, well appointed, close to MTSU, quite neighborhood and just overall cute! We definitely recommend to others. Rebecca is very responsive and her homemade cinnamon rolls were terrific!

Best stay ever.
We have traveled extensively and stayed in many vacation homes over the years, but none of them can compare to the experience of Rebecca and Dan’s cottage. They have thought of everything imaginable, to make the accommodation comfortable. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but just minutes away from everything we needed. The accommodations were immaculate both in and out. The attention to detail and the attentiveness of our hosts made this a memorable experience for my family and myself. Definitely planning on a return visit!

This charming “cottage” is one of the favorite places we’ve stayed. The property owners are very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Everything was super clean and inviting. The location is ideal for those visiting Murfreesboro- very close to MTSU and downtown. Beautiful neighborhood. We hope to stay here again. Highly recommend!!

A Perfect Rental

Do not pass this cottage up!
This was the most amazing stay to date and we've stayed in quite a few VRBOs. From the 1st inquiry to Rebecca, to the last message that we left, it was THE BEST experience ever! House was clean, comfy, it felt homey, she left homemade cinnamon buns on the kitchen island along with a note to our dear daughter wishing her luck at the camp she was invited to play in. That personal touch really hit a home run with us. We cooked, we continued to eat as a family in the beautiful dining room, played one of our favorite games in the backyard during our down time, slept in the comfy beds, etc. I can go on and on. There is no way I would stay anywhere else the next time I am in Murfreesboro! If you want yummy Mac n Cheese balls, you NEED TO go to The Boulevard Bar & Grille. You can walk or drive. The service was impeccable. Hoping to be back in July 2023. Thank you Rebecca and Dan for sharing your beautiful home which we loved so much! We didn't want to leave :)
