What I found interesting is that the north end of PEI is mostly white sandy beaches, the south side are red sand beaches. In Morelle, the land is red but as soon as you hit the beach, it turns white with beautiful large and protected sand dunes. There are no short supply of beaches on PEI so you never feel crowded by people. The north end in this particular location was very little rocks so it's best for swimming and lounging on the beach. What I found interesting is that the north end of PEI is mostly white sandy beaches, the south side are red sand beaches. In Morelle, the land is red but as soon as you hit the beach, it turns white with beautiful large and protected sand dunes. There are no short supply of beaches on PEI so you never feel crowded by people. The north end in this particular location was very little rocks so it's best for swimming and lounging on the beach. But ended up being quite disappointed. The room was very cold with no heat and the front desk person wasn't the nicest when we asked for extra blankets. We weren't expecting the red carpet but at least a "thanks so much for choosing to stay here for your honeymoon". Some of the staff were great but generally no one cared that we had chose Dalvay for our honeymoon over Blackbush or elsewhere. It's a beautiful place but badly needs updating as the gov't did recognize and will eventually put money into the main building. But, we wouldn't stay there again until that happens.
