Montchanin Vacation Packages

The staff was helpful, professional and kind. The hotel and room was clean and updated. I did have a few issues regarding my stay. First, I called ahead to let the staff know I’d be checking in after 3am. I confirmed my reservation would be safe and the shuttle would be available. I called 5 times before I spoke with a human. Then I waited over 45 minutes for the shuttle while I called the hotel twice telling them the shuttle had not arrived and it still had not arrived. I took a $25 Uber to the hotel at 4:15 am. When I arrived, I was told my room with two queens had been split into two separate rooms, each with a king bed but the rooms were not adjoining. I traveled with my 14 and 12 year old children. My 14 year old slept alone in a separate room. The shower also never produced hot water.

Pictures online make the hotel look cleaner than it is. Upon entering, floors looked dirty, elevators looked like they haven't been upkept. The room!, super small! Barely had space to put our bags, floors were dirty , the room was very dusty, stains on bed sheets, there was a Bible in the room which we were happy to see but upon opening the Bible, what seemed to be a used condom or some type of sticky clear ballon was on the first page-very disgusting and confirmed our feeling that upkeeping is not top priority here!. The vents were dusty and made a lot of noise. The room we were in we couldnt keep the window shades open because other windoes looked directly into ours, which meant our room was dark and felt confined. Our room was directly across the elevator basially 1 foot away so we could hear everyone standing in front of our room waiting for the elevator . Bad layout, bad placement for room, basically sitting in elevator lol. We went to check out the basement where the gym was , upon entering , felt like there was no air in the room, extremely dry air and hot. Not a good place to workout out . The bathroom was a good size. There was one gentleman there that was extremely helpful and kind, well spoken and could tell he has been in customer service, I wasn't able to catch it name. But from the small interaction we had with him , he deserves to be in a much nicer upscale hotel. Needless to say I would not stay here again .

What a great hotel! I had an event downtown and it was close to everything - just when you walk in and see the beautiful lobby you kind of knew what was going to be upstairs waiting! The room did not disappoint - at all - love a white robe waiting and a small fridge as I had brought something from home - very convenient!
