The bathroom was so small it is difficult to even get in the shower. The shower height was at my chin and my husband’s chest! The carpets are possibly still there from 1940! Whilst the room was clean and smelled like bleach on arrival the cups and items in the cupboards were so filthy I wasn’t even game to wash and then use! No notification that the only way to the the top floor was stairs! And quite narrow and steep ones at that! The area has no cafes or anywhere reasonable to eat (other than a couple of great evening restaurants - Indian and Italian). We walked for an hour on a Saturday morning and couldn’t find one cafe that was open for breakfast! The one that we eventually found was expensive, the items were all wrapped in bread or pastry and there was limited choice.
