We stayed 2 nights in Sunshine Bay Hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Every request was met with a smile, and they went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. The hotel facilities were top-notch—everything was pristine and designed with comfort in mind. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered every amenity I could need. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms truly stood out. Whether it was enjoying a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant, relaxing by the pool, or simply taking in the stunning views from the beach, every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. I left feeling fully relaxed and refreshed and can't wait for my next visit!

Clean clean room! Good food but… something to know, they offered an upgrade from partial ocean view to full ocean and the bed was two doubles pushed together and no king size sheets so sleeping together was not an option comfortably… huge disappointment. When we asked staff to at least put king size blankets so we could share the covers they did not. Huge disappointment but if sleeping together isn’t an issue this place was really nice. They didn’t have all the drink options available but staff was friendly and pleasant

Booked the place for a honeymoon, spent quite a considerable amount of money. The lagoon room we booked was absolutely amazing, loved this experience very much, scenery was immaculate. Was let down by the overall quality of everything else unfortunately. Just as a comparison to other all inclusive’s in Zanzibar which offered much more for a fraction of the price. Overall quality of the product to its value was poor all things considered. Would unlikely stay again. Some nice touches for sure like being greeted at the port. Staff are friendly and kind and try to accommodate but service feels like it’s new and a work in progress rather than a finished article. Menu for food isn’t very deep, quality was good on the whole but variety and quantity of the food and drinks was lacking. Simple requests like water bottles on our exit or fresh juices at breakfast not available some days, pastries running out. Some days the menu was restrictive and one day felt like we were given yesterday’s left overs. Gym, sport activities, bikes are included which was nice. Atmosphere and entertainment at meal times were a nice touch. Attempts were made to accommodate us and make the experience nice was appreciated such as the honeymoon welcome. Overall it’s feels marketed and priced as super luxury but on ground doesn’t meet those same standards, somehow feels as though you have to pay even more to get things that would otherwise be included in other places despite the higher cost.
