"Daughter & I stayed 4 nights as a base to visit Nolin Lake & Mammoth Cave NP away from the tourist crowds. MCNP is 45 minutes away on scenic, rural roads. Best thing about this rental: access to the neighborhood boat ramp with adjacent swimming area, a 5 minute walk away or you can drive & park there. The bottom is sandy/rocky, not muck. This saved our visit to the area, booked before I learned that the public beaches on Nolin Lake & most of NLSP are closed due to spring flooding, expected to be closed for the season. We enjoyed floating in the lake & enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets there. Our host was responsive the few times we messaged. The cottage had everything we needed - used the firepit & kitchen to make a few meals. The AC was needed & appreciated. Nice seating area outside. Cottage is in a wooded neighborhood of cottages & RVs & situated for outdoor views. Neighbors were very friendly. Would recommend. Good for groups, families, little ones, people w mobility issues. Other than a few steps to the door, the cottage is all one level & you can park close to the door. "

We had a group of 12 and a baby and there was plenty of room. "From the booking until the day we left everything went so smoothly. This home is a great retreat, not far from the caves or boating and we had an excellent time being together as a family. There were 12 of us:adults, little children and two babies and we had a fabulous time. Everything was there for us.The homeowner was super efficient in checking in with us and making sure everything in place. He was super kind. Great to work with. The home is beautiful. We didn't get to enjoy the outside of the home as much as our activities during the day kept us away, but it was a perfect retreat for the family of 12 that we had. The furniture and the home atmosphere was super comfortable and very cozy. We all had a super great time just being there together. It was the perfect place to enjoy each other's company and love."
