Breakfast was great nothing to say. The rest not so much… bathroom was so small that when I sat on the throne my shoulders touched each side of the left and right wall and couldn’t even spread my knees wider than my shoulders. Forget about space, even my head and my face were literally touching the door while pooping. I went to india and I don’t mind a hole for a toilet, but this felt like a trap hole. Can’t even bed forward to clean…. Nevermind taking a shower…

As other have pointed out this is an older Belle Époque hotel which has lots of fading charm and some real character. It’s set back from the busy seafront in a large tropical garden - we had a sea facing room on an upper floor so the view of the sea and coast as well as the gardens was beautiful. The room was spotless, but small (that may just be the level of room we booked however). Some parts of the hotel could do with some tlc but for the location - a minute or two’s walk from the beach - it was good value. The pool is medium sized and was busy with families, but there seemed to be room for everyone and it was friendly (it was August, so the whole of the Côte d’Azur is super busy!). The staff at the hotel were very helpful and breakfast on the terrace was decent. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel as there is a wide choice of dining options on the seafront and the road just back from the beach - at all levels and prices. There is a huge parking area by the back of the hotel and a lift from that level, so it was easy to unload and load up.

The first night, the gentleman working at reception was incredibly helpful and kind. We arrived at the hotel after midnight, and I was travelling alone with my 5-year-old daughter who was already asleep. He was excellent and made the late arrival much easier.
Unfortunately, the following morning was a completely different experience. We had only stayed for around 5–6 hours and, as I was alone with a small child and had three suitcases, I asked the reception staff for help carrying my luggage when checking out.
I waited around 40 minutes for assistance, but the man working at reception refused to help. He told me that he was alone at reception, despite there being three staff members there. He also said that a buggy was not available, yet I personally saw other guests having their luggage transported using the buggy right in front of me.
This happened on the morning of 10 August, at around 10am.
I found the attitude extremely disappointing and completely lacking in basic customer service. Travelling alone with a young child and three suitcases, I expected at least a little understanding and assistance. Unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
