"The staff who checked us in was super helpful and kind. The hotel is very nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We got adjoining/connecting rooms which was great for our family. The downsides were: not enough parking (we had to park on the street then set an alarm in the morning to get up and move the car so we did not get a ticket; no breakfast; the fitness facility is off-site (but it was great to have something- it’s a local gym); and the construction noise is significant. We were 2 floors below the floors that are being renovated and the trucks moving heavy things woke us up before 8am and for a full half hour from 8:00-8:30am the vibration/loud construction noise that felt like it was coming down through the walls woke us all up and made going back to sleep impossible. If you’re an early riser and don’t mind a few inconveniences, this hotel was great. I’m sure it will be fantastic when all the construction is done and their back parking area opens up again! It’s a good location with a coffee shop and pancake house just down the block. It felt super clean and safe."

"We appreciate that the property has been around for quite some time making the location ideal -beach access couldn’t be better! Some areas of the hotel show more signs of age more than others. For instance in our room there was a chair with a broken leg that was just propped back up but since we didn’t use this chair, it wasn’t an issue for us and figured the staff must have known about this too. The view was very good from our balcony and in the room the sheets and towels were crisp and clean. At reception, I asked if I could use a microwave to warm up a croissant and they kindly offered to put a microwave in our room - we really appreciated that! The outdoor property maintenance gentlemen were so polite, holding a door open for me even though they were busy doing a great job at cleaning and pruning. The staff at the beach setting up the umbrellas and chair were the best! They were always happy to help! We did not use the pool or restaurant but the staff seemed welcoming all around. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!"

"From front to back, this was a wonderful experience. Comfy beds, clean rooms, super friendly staff, great breakfast, good location to get to everything, all topped off with lovely grounds and a pool. A gym was also available for use. Business and family friendly."

"I will admit the hotel was very nice. Unfortunately, I did have a few issues. When I first checked in, the 2 folks ahead of me received a glass of bubbly. The 2 folks who showed up after me also received a glass of bubbly. I wasn't offered a damn thing. My second issue. The next morning, house keeping came by. I asked if they could come back. When I said come back in 2 hrs, one of the ladies rolled her eyes and mouthed "2 hrs". I felt that was quite rued. So, other than rued staff, the place was great."
