Cedar Key Village is part of a larger community called Cedar Key Estates. Most of the Cedar Key Estates are full time residents. Realtors have a waiting list of people who want to purchase in Cedar Key because we live on the largest no wake cove on the lake. It is over 60 acres. The mile long drive to to reach Cedar Key village is heavily treed, which offers a spectacular entrance into our resort, especially in the fall.. There are ten smaller cabins and my larger home that make up Cedar Key Village.

Easy access to the cabin, just one step and you enter a one level living space.

According to their literature RGF® Environmental Group, Inc., a leading environmental design and manufacturing company, has released the results of a third-party test that proves the PHI-PKG14 PHI-CELL® product with Photohydroionization® technology inactivates greater than 99.96% of airborne SARS-CoV-2 virus. Welcome to Cedar Key Village at Smith Mountain Lake, a charming 11 home community. This spectacular all Cedar Home is located on beautiful Smith Mountain Lake and is one of eleven homes nestled in a secluded no wake cove. My cabin is lakefront.

My charming cabin hums with relaxed energy which you will feel the moment you enter. Features a great room with cathedral ceilings and an electric fireplace. Our one level home’s main living area is totally open so if you are in the kitchen, you are not isolated from your family and friends. Cedar beams throughout the house adds a unique charm to this beautifully decorated and inviting home.

I offer two bedrooms and one full baths. Renovated bath offers walk in tiled shower. Living room has a sliding glass door to the deck, which offers a fantastic lakefront view of the lake and Smith Mountain… what a way to wake up each morning.

We have one of the easiest access to the lake for those who have walking issues as you can drive directly to the waterfront, just a 30 second drive. Also you can walk the road or take the 75 steps down to the waterfront. The walk down the steps to the waterfront is surrounded by beautiful gardens on both sides, please see the pictures.

The house is appointed with every pot and pan, dish and glassware imaginable. Many of our guests have told us it is far better equipped than their own homes. We also provide an array of spices.

Our no wake 60 acres cove is famous for its abundance and variety of fish. It is where the strippers spawn every year and fisherman catch bass, muskies and cat fish right off our docks. You will see an exciting array of wildlife including eagles, owls, ospreys, hummingbirds, wild turkey and of course deer but we also have several albino deer which are spectacular to see if you are lucky.

Because the cove is “no wake” you can swim, kayak, paddle board and canoe without being disturbed by jet skies and motor boats, a rarity on the lake. We are only a 500' to the entrance to the main channel so you have go far before you can produce a wake. The cove is surrounded by a 2000 acre wildlife mountainous nature preserve so your views are of deep woods, silhouetted by Smith Mountain and its surrounding mountains. Smith Mountain Lake has 22,000 acres of clean water and has 500 miles of shoreline.

There is a mile long drive to reach our Lodge that is just magical. It is deeply wooded with an abundance of hardwoods on both sides, not a home in sight. Once you have made this turn on our lane, you will be delighted with the serine, natural beauty that surrounds our home.

The Mariners Landing golf course is just ten minutes away and in the same community as the Point Restaurant which is renown on the lake as one of the top lakefront restaurants. They also have lots of fun entertainment over the summer and fall months so make sure you look them up.

Our no-wake cove is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming. No worries of being run over by the jet skis or speed boats.

Our mile long drive into the property is perfect for long walks or biking. You will listen to only the sounds of nature as a beautiful hardwood forest hugs both sides of the road. Deer and turkey abound! Also if you like mountain biking, you are only a few minutes away.

There are lots of funs restaurants close by and the state park is just ten minutes away. The park offers summer fun programs for children at their camp pavilion. They also have a mile long lakefront walking trail, a sandy beach, boat rentals, covered pavilions with charcoal barbecue grill and lots of nightlife entertainment.

This cabin is beautiful. My husband, daughter and I spent the weekend after Thanksgiving there and disconnected from our phones. I love how peaceful everything was and how you got amazing views from the living room and main bedrooms. The cabin was also equipped with everything we needed. Communication was clear and very helpful. We actually talked about going back during the summer months so we can enjoy the lake.

This Jewel is tucked away on a lakebank beautiful sunsets away from the world and the noise. I would have loved to tried my luck at fishing. Little cold this time of year and the neighbors was trying to get ready for Thanksgiving . Had a great time making memories here at Smith mountain lake. Don't pass up the opportunity.

Wonderful, restful trip

We stayed in a small 2 bedroom cabin with lake access. The views from the deck were great. We were in a no wake area on the lake so the lake was perfect for kayaking and any powerboats were slow movers.

A sweet little getaway cabin

Our family (my husband, our 13 yo son, our 10 month old baby, and myself) stayed at the cabin for a short weekend visit. We found it clean and easy to access. It had all of the things we needed including a high chair (which was a nice bonus). The dock was lovely and our son spent a lot of time fishing down there during out trip. The views from the cabin were really nice and the area was peaceful. Overall it was a great experience and we would certainly rent this cabin again.

Beautiful property. We loved how quite it is during the day, and the best part, no wake zone. The sunsets are amazing. Property owner is very responsive and even took the time to search for my lost wedding band. My wife and I truly appreciate the all around service and treatment. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property!

We had an amazing time at Alicia's cabin! She was the perfect host and provided us with all of the information we could have needed. She was easy to reach and very helpful! The cabin is great! It's well stocked and extremely clean. It happened to be a bit chilly and rainy outside when we visited, but the cabin stayed warm and cozy. We loved the electric fireplace! The cove is beautiful and so private, it felt like we were in another world! Will definitely stay again!

Perfect Cabin

Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting. The cabin it self was clean, and comfortable. The view of the lake from the deck was un obstructed, and beautiful. Short walk to dock to enjoy another view of the lake. We rented kayak"s to explore the various coves. Fished, swam and just enjoyed a peaceful vacation. Owner was a phone call away to answer any questions. Perfect!!!

Beautiful view and peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The view is gorgeous! The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Decorated so nicely. It was peaceful and quiet. I was hoping to see the stars at night (which I am sure would have been amazing), but a tropical storm came in and the skies never cleared. Alicia was great and contacted us as soon as we arrived. She gave us ideas on places to go and things to see. Great communication. We had no problems at all. Would definitely love to come back again!

Relaxation at its finest!

It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in this beautiful cabin! The views were breathtakingly gorgeous. The shower was divine. The mattress was so comfortable. Honestly, the best night sleep I have had since before my kids were born. My family enjoyed time spent with extended family who lived about an hour away. However, it was so much fun going back to the cabin in the evening and relaxing after our visits. My kids really loved playing the board games at night. It was amazing to witness the time they spent off their tablets. Enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning. My kids really loved hiking and seeing the wildlife. Easiest checking in and out process ever. No massive cleaning list to get done upon checking out which is impressive! Thank you for allowing us to stay. We cannot wait to book our next visit again soon. The Owens Family Myrtle Beach, SC

Mother - Son Trip

I finally planned a long-overdue Mother-Son Trip with my 47-yr. old son and his 12-yr.-old fur-baby. This cozy cabin didn't disappoint, but rather exceeded our expectations & afforded us the ideal setting for the relaxing get in touch with nature experience we were looking for. My son was able to go on several short hikes nearby the cabin and fish from dock on Smith Mountain Lake. I enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck over-looking the large, well-landscaped back yard & listening to the sounds of nature while sipping my coffee each morning and basking in the sun. The interior of the cabin was just as I expected. So tastefully decorated and not "child- proofed". I felt as though a decorator had just left before we arrived. Not to mention a cabin with a bidet?!! How lovely is that? Alicia, the Host was very accommodating and helpful from the first contact, throughout and after our stay. I could not ask for a better Host - She's top notch and strives to please! Something you don't see too often these days! There are only a couple things I'd do differently the next time I visit. (Yes, I do plan on coming back!! ) Plan to stay longer; 7-10 days would be ideal, for me. Once you've experience heaven, its so difficult to rip yourself away and return to normal life as we know it. Pack more wine!
