Great experience. Staff friendly. Tasty breakfast. Complimentary liqueur available in room

Sunday roast was excellent and, so too, was the breakfast. The room was clean, cosy and well equipped even though the place dates back to the 15th century. Indeed, this added to the charm.

Very satisfactory stay been before and always good option and service. Nice to have cocktails and wine outsidr

Quaint room, lovely decor throughout property. Sipping gin offered in room with a whiskey tasting room offered to hotel guests in a small room off the corridor. Breakfast was amazing! We had the full English breakfast and the blueberry pancakes! Everything locally sourced and you could taste it! Can’t wait to stay again and try the restaurant for dinner, the menu looks incredible.

Beautiful surroundings; dog-friendly, good food, one of the best hotels in which i have stayed. Can't say more!

This is a very clean inn. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food is good. This would be a great place to stay in cooler weather. It is in walking distance to Highclere Castle. There was a heatwave going on when we stayed there. Our room was very hot. Not only was the sun blazing in for hours, bouncing off the slate roof, but we were above the kitchen with the heat from the kitchen rising. Clean room. All great. Breakfast man very helpful and kind.

Beautifully done rooms very relaxed. Loved the choice of walks in the area

What a great place! Nice room, the only issue would be a cream colour carpet in the room thant shows stains from walking outside. The staff were just fantastic and the breakfast and dinning experience were excellent. Thank you to all!

We liked the area where the Winning Post is located. Great restaurant, staff very helpful and friendly. Short journey to drive into Windsor and area.

Everything that the inn had to offer was amazing. Great service and friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts. Our only one concern was the smokers that were below our room on the patio. They were there both nights until 11pm. Our room windows let the smoke in, so we had to close them and the room got hot and it took a long time for the smell to clear. Lovely setting and we would definitely come again.

Really lovely spot. Well appointed rooms, helpful staff and excellent food in the restaurant

Nice hotel and restaurant but nothing nearby. Car a must

We recently stayed here at the end of our tour of the UK. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would receommend it to anyone visiting the area. I had selected this Inn as it was close to Highclere Castle (aka Downtown Abbey) as we were going there the next day. Upon arrival we were greeted by the bar manager and quickly shown to our room. The room was great -- bed was comfy and plenty of room for two travellers with too much luggage!! We had drinks once we settled in outside in the garden. It...
