The warm and genuine welcome makes such a change from the stereotypical “script” welcome of staff in those chains. The food offerings were excellent and reasonably priced, the room was clean, well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was lovely. All in all, an excellent place to stay if you have business in Basingstoke or any of its environs.
