Very pleasant staff with a warm greeting. I was shown to my room which was very small and only just accommodated a double bed. The bathroom was equally minute and sadly both were in need of refreshing the decor. The main negatives was the level of lighting that had little effect on the dark and dingy room. The area designated for tea/coffee etc and the only working area had no light at all so almost impossible to use. Nice touches along with a good range of complementary beverages were a complimentary bottle of London Pride and a small bottle of Prosecco. The room was quite noisy but One has to realise that it's a pub! The restaurant staff were very pleasant and the food was adequate. Cleaning was hit and miss - rug under bed was absolutely filthy - luckily there were slippers in the room! Breakfast was amazing though.
