Forfaits vacances – Hawthorne

I loved everything about this place, really clean and helpful friendly staff. The price was great on top of it!! Will go back definitely.

We are very disappointed with this trip: the reception by videoconference was mediocre, with a faulty system. Upon arrival, we were tormented by an inoperative room code, which forced us to wait a whole hour outside before getting the room at 11:00 p.m. No parking was available at the accommodation; we had to park on the street, then pick up the vehicle at 6:00 a.m. to prevent it from being removed. In addition, hotel assistance is non-existent. All this only concerns the first day. We vacated the room every day at 9:00 a.m. at the latest, without a cleaning lady; perhaps we should have left at 7:00 a.m., when we heard her bub and cart knocking in front of the door. The walls are indeed the thickness of a sheet of paper. The shower has dirty joints surrounded by yellow traces, and the bathroom is quite small. For a one-night stay, it's acceptable, and again. Fortunately, the location is correct and easy to access. We hope for compensation.

The Proper is an incredible hotel, featuring wonderful décor—especially in the lobby—with a real eye for furniture selection. The penthouse includes a restaurant and a small swimming pool offering stunning skyline views. The fitness room is well equipped, and the valet service is excellent, with cars parked very close to the hotel, ensuring no delay in retrieving your vehicle at any hour. Areas for improvement: Access to the swimming pool could be better, particularly during lunch and dinner times, as you currently have to pass through dining tables to reach it. The swimming pool could be warmer, as it tends to be quite cold in the mornings. The immediate neighborhood is not the most pleasant in town.

Used to stay here a lot years ago. It’s definitely a different experience now and sadly not nearly as special. The Bungalows are smaller and have lost their charm. They first put us in one in the back of the property that smelled really musty. I’m not sure if it hadn’t been used in a while or if it had mold, but the smell was so strong we had to move rooms. Second Bungalow just felt like a standard hotel room. No balcony, nothing in the minibar,.. Their answer to the musty room was to send someone over with a spray bottle of air freshener which he proceeded to spray around the room. This actually smelled worse than the mold. Super bummed. Used to be a great place.
