Octopus Gardens is located just west of the Galveston Seawall at Seascape Condominiums. Seascape amenities include a spectacular private boardwalk to the beach, fabulous pool and hot tub, large swings, a gazebo, and more.


The condo is beautifully decorated and modernized with all the comforts of home including a full kitchen with a regular coffee maker, cable TV in the living and sleeping areas as well as stunning views of the ocean thanks to your private deck. Wifi is included with your stay. 


Sleep comfortably on the king in the master, the sleeper sofa in the living room (converts to a full bed), or — for younger guests — the twin bunks in the hallway make for great sleeping arrangements.


Whether you are getting ready for the day or winding down at night, the spacious bathroom has everything you need: a tiled shower, large bathtub, and plenty of storage and counter space for toiletries.

Our vacation was great , until A/C went out, and security would not let the A/C man in to fix the AC, at night, then A/C man had to get approval from the property manager to get the AC fix , so we had one night with no A/C but other than that our vacation was great.

Galveston getaway

1 minute walk to beach was amazing, then afterwards being able to rinse off and jump in pool and hot tub was awesome too. Condo was nice as well and the view from balcony spectacular! 10/10. Bed was really really really firm. Other than that awesome place.

Great locaion

Microwave & plug in kitchen faulty - used the mirowave once after we figured it was the breaker that I had to ask about. Tripped again when we made popcorn. This needs an electrician attention. the only lamp in living / dining area was falling apart - it wobbled and did not have the knob to turn off & on, so it was just getting unplugged. I fixed it and found a knob for it. Where do I start with all the things that are wrong with the mattress - let's just go with "invest some money & replace it", seriously. Broken drawers, no can opener. We have stayed at this location for the last 20 year & have never stayed in one that had so many things wrong with it. Good luck!

It’s just me and my kids and we go every year. It’s right on the beach, close to everything, clean and affordable. My kids and I love it! I can’t recommend it enough

We loved being so close to the beach and not having to either cross a busy street or drive and find parking. The only downside was the right quarters and the fact that there was a keurig instead of the listed regular coffee pot. If I ha know I would have brought my kcups

It’s ok

The check in process wasn’t too bad. The security guard was incredibly friendly. He quickly gave us our pass for our car. Sent us in the right direction. The condo was cute. I like the way it was decorated. It wasn’t very clean but livable. We wouldn’t be spending much time in there. The issues came when we came back to the condo after eating dinner, one night and the other security guard she gave out way too many passes, and there was no parking. She was incredibly rude to everybody. There was four of us trying to find parking and she kept yelling at everybody. We only had one vehicle for our condo, so it was very frustrating. They wanted us to park all the way at the opposite side of the property. They definitely need to get that ironed out so it doesn’t happen again. The other issue we had was the people above us were extremely loud day and night. They had children running all over the place being loud, waking us up multiple times throughout the night. Then one day we tried to take a little nap because we were exhausted, and they were extremely loud during the day as well. There should be reminders of people on upper floors to remember to be considerate of the people below them. Sad you have to remind people of that. Amazing access to the beach. Unfortunately the pool is heated so if you’re expecting to cool off in the pool, that’s not gonna happen which was super disappointing. So we didn’t really utilize it. All in all, it’s a decent spot.

Family vacation

The condo wasn’t as clean as others I have stayed in. The toilet ran the entire trip and half the time wouldn’t flush. The property manager sent a plumber out but it still didn’t work properly. The back door didn’t lock. The pool and beach access were really convenient though!

Wouldn't recommend this unit

The location is great being right on the beach. The pool was also nice. Unfortunately, we experienced much of the same of the last few reviews. They were not posted when I booked the trip in June but we just got back and the lack of cleanliness was a huge let down. Cons: The closet rod was still broken so we had no place to hang clothes. The closet door tracks are so rusted the door won't even slide open all the way. The closet floors were so filthy, I dropped my son's white shirt on the floor and was so grossed out with the hair and dust and dirt on it after picking it up immediately. Bathroom shower does not have a place to set your own shampoos and such in the shower, so they have to all go on the floor. They have a hanging one on the wall filled with shampoo I would assume but the top was broken off and I didn't trust it. Lots of mold in shower and floors in bathroom looked like they have not been cleaned for quite some time. Drawers did not pull out and they were not cleaned so you couldn't store items in there anyway. We only received 5 towels for a family of 4 staying 4 days which was tricky since we were talking multiple showers during the day the towels remained wet forcing us to always dry off with a wet towel. The vent returns were super dirty, caked on dust and dirt. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were dirty inside and I found a dead spider on one. The rugs were dusty and dirty and looked like they had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The floors were so dirty, even my teen boys refused to walk around beer foot. We were disappointed because we had read previous reviews where similar concerns were expressed but it seems like the company just doesn't care and it's all about the money. We paid a $90 cleaning fee and the place wasn't close to clean!

Not a great place.

Rented unit for granddaughters wedding. Brought clothes that needed to be hung. Found that bedroom closet had no bar to hang clothes although bar was sitting at side of closet. Had to use small broom closet and borrow hangars from our daughter. Also light bulb was out in ceiling fixture making room dark and dingy.. Called management on arrival . Said they do not provide hanging space nor hangars as people take them. It took them two days to change bulb in light fixture. Very disappointed and surprised that VRBO would list this property.

Not clean. Stay here but a different unit.

The Pros: 1) location and Seascape is a nice complex right on the beach. 2) The water pressure was great. 3) Bath towels were nice. 4) Shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the shower. CONS: there’s many. 1) it was dirty. Dirty toilet seat 💩 2) moldy shower and tile near the shower. Dirty shower head. 3) Dirty caked on filth on the large vent in the hall and on ceiling. 4) broken sink plunger so sink couldn’t be plugged. I did push it down and repair man had to come drain the sink but didn’t repair that piece. 5) floors weren’t clean along edges. And some ANTS 🐜 in the family room area. 6) There’s no beach towels. 7) There’s only 4 bowls, 4 plates even though 6 can sleep there. 8) seems like it’s only a rental and poorly equipped in the kitchen. Salt & Pepper but not much else. No storage containers at all. 9) management asked for evidence and I sent it and then they were extremely rude to me. They offered “to send housekeeping in or I could leave “ I was only there 3 nights and my friend and I were settled and had sanitized the place. I was asking for the cleaning fee refunded since it wasn’t clean. I would not rent from Coastal connect again. Note: I’ve come to Galveston 6 other times including this complex. I’ve never had a dirtier place and as poorly equipped. Look elsewhere. There’s many wonderful options. This wasn’t it. They don’t care.

Great beach stay

We had a wonderful time at this property. The room was cute and our 4 year old loved the bunks. The property is great, the pool area was well maintained and the beach access cannot be beat.
