When we checked into the CitizenM everything was automated although staff were very helpful in getting us checked in electronically. The room was way too small with the bed (albeit a good size) pushed against the window meaning one of us had to climb over the other to get into & out of bed. Not really suitable for a couple on holiday. Very limited dinner options meaning we only had dinner on the first night which frankly only amounted to a snack. Breakfast was a bit unimaginative although some good choices. NO tea or coffee making facilities in our room was a major disappointment. Very unusual from our experience of staying in a wide range of hotels

We loved this hotel! The staff was wonderful and breakfast was great and loved the location! We would definitely stay there again! Our room felt a little warm at times but not enough to truly bother us! Absolutely loved this hotel!!

Good stay. Reviews are right that the rooms are too hot. It was 20C so wasn't expecting it to be a problem. Fan in the room helped but not enough. Good location and lovely pool.

Our flight was delayed in Edinburgh and I knew that we would be arriving at the property after midnight. I phoned and messaged the property repeatedly to ask whether I would still be able to collect our key if we arrived in the middle of the night. No answer. Expedia also phoned repeatedly on our behalf. No answer. Their website said they had a 24 hour reception desk but nobody responded. When we arrived at 1:30 am, the desk was empty and dark. We rang the bell repeatedly for a few minutes and thought we would have to find another hotel. Just as we were about to leave, a man emerged from somewhere (looked like had been sleeping) and let us in. We said we had been repeatedly messaging about our later arrival and he said he thought he had seen our message. Why then didn’t he answer? We finally got a message from the property the next morning that we can indeed arrive late and we would be able to collect our key. 😒
