Beautiful Log Cottage Located Along Pine Creek

10/10 Excellent

"This comfortable cottage is thoughtfully decorated and furnished. The backyard design accommodates outdoor enjoyment, with a fire pit, picnic tables, chairs and swings for children. The property is situated along Route 6 and near to both the PA Grand Canyon for miles of scenic hiking and not far from Wellsboro for restaurants or family-run shops. Kitchen supplies are plentiful. If you plan to cook in, I’d recommend enjoying dinner on the back deck for a pretty view. We had splendid weather and colorful mountain views during the final week of October and would happily return for another visit."

"We stayed at the Treehouse while on a long weekend fishing trip. We enjoyed the location and the house. The only disappointment was the wood burning stove. After spending a whole day on the river fishing in the rain, we were excited to get checked into the house and start a fire. When we arrived there was a sign on the stove and in the check in book to please not use the wood burning stove. We were pretty bummed when we saw that. It shouldn’t be advertised as having a wood burning stove if it can’t be used. Other than that, we liked the house and its location."

"We enjoyed our stay. It was our anniversary trip. We stayed in the romantic getaway. I didn't receive the check in instructions, so I messaged the owner and got an immediate response. He was very helpful and was there upon arrival. He mentioned about a kitchen in our room but there wasnt. It was very quiet, you could hear everything. I dont think i would recommend for a younger crowd. As far as it being the "romantic getaway", there was no way we could get really intimate. The closed in porch wouldve been great for cuddling on the couch and watch the sunset, but the legs were put on backwards on the couch, and wouldnt have held us. We notified the owner so he was aware and said he would be there in 45 minutes to check it out and offered us a chair in the meantime from the common area. We looked foward to him looking into it but that time never came. So we couldnt enjoy that part like we wanted. We loved the bed and pillows and sheets so much, we ordered the same pillows and bedsheets. We made a snack in the oven but there were no hot pads. But everything was great. The rooms were clean and the view was great with an excavator outside the windows. Saw a few deer. There was a slight odor upon walking in. Almost like it used to be a nursing home and a strong mildew smell in the downstairs. I don't want to sound negative. Just trying to leave an honest review. Like I said, it was clean, great location, very quiet"
