Room was clean and staff was courteous

Beautiful 100+ year old Bed and Breakfast. The food and hospitality were excellent. We would definitely go back.

My granddaughter and I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel from the moment we arrived\. When we came in to check in, the woman at the front desk told me she would be with me in a minute\. We stood there waiting while she finished eating a Twix bar and washed it down with her soda\. When she finally came to the desk, she was profusely sweating\. While we were waiting, my granddaughter picked up a huge dead roach from the coffee table and asked me, “What’s this?” I immediately brought it to the front desk clerk’s attention\. Her response was, “We can’t do anything about bugs\.” I told her that if I saw any roaches in our room, we would not be staying\. Unfortunately, after going to sleep, we woke up to find a huge roach right next to the bed\. This was completely unacceptable\. My biggest concern is not only that the hotel clearly has a cleanliness and pest problem, but also the dismissive attitude of the front desk staff\. Instead of showing concern or trying to address the situation, we were basically told there was nothing they could do\. Hotels need to take accountability for the cleanliness and condition of their property and for the way guests are treated when they bring legitimate concerns to the staff. Also when we checked out the roach was still on the coffee table. Based on our experience, I would absolutely not recommend st
